DL has brought hundreds of people to The Shanty-- including Congressional representatives-- and given The Shanty years of *free* publicity. Who is anonymous and how does he know how much was spent over ~eight years? Wait staff on the patio would have helped the beer sales.
The headline is misleading. The parting was mutual. DL dumped the Shanty also. Despite the thousands of dollars DL spent at the Shanty, the hundreds of politicians we brought there to speak, and all of the free social media wasted on promoting that place, we were disrespected on many occasions by the Shanty. The June 25 event was the last double-booking we'll have to suffer. And for the record, Al Flick, it was a member of your group who walked over to the DL group and stood in the middle of it shouting and putting us down.
Good customer service goes a long way, as competition increases. With the Shanty's new competition in the downtown beer joint genre, we'll see how it goes for this "classic" in the future.
I love it when "news" organizations quote anonymous name callers as sources.
Also, the photo is still on Facebook.
More lies from the sexists: Sean Arce and the 3 Sons incognito. Thanks for misquotes and the put-downs, as usual.
For the record, here is my recommendation on MAS.
"Yes, there are many, many anecdotal stories from individual students about the value of the MAS classes. Let’s build on the positive aspects of MAS– the impact on low-income students (see graphics below), the self-esteem-building, the small class sizes, and the high teacher involvement. No program is beyond improvement.
"What can we as a community to do ensure a quality education for all public school students? Let’s stop the name-calling, stop the incendiary e-mail blasts, stop the hype, and come together– all of us.
"On this anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, let’s make a commitment to start talking and start building a better future for all children, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, gender, or sexual orientation."
A Texas legislator was recently outed for her ties and posts on Stormfront. Of course, she wasn't hiding. She posted SF links on her Facebook page.
Come on, Dave, who's your "best blog"?
Best political blog
Best news blog
Best lifestyle blog
Best Twitter feed
I missed your appearance and Jon Justice's show-- not surprising since I prefer NPR.
Apparently, on his Tuesday show, Justice took issue with my blog post on poverty and progressive economic solutions. I wish I had known. I would have called in. :-)
