Proper, Diablo Burger, and Oak Bar all by the owners of Diablo up in Flagstaff have applied for liquor licences or transfers. Diablo is fancy burgers (think a beet-topped burger). I think it is a good sign that entrepreneurs from Flag are coming here to open second locations.
Discriminating against college students is the same as discriminating against any other "group" of people. What you are saying is no different than Racism, Ageism, and Sexism. How would you argue what you are saying is different? Because the new neighbors commit crimes and are loud? Don't you think those same arguments are levied against every other undesirable group? Just to be clear, I am a long time out of college. These rants against college students are simply intolerant discrimination.

Let's say Prop 200 passes, but none of the Republicans win their races. Now that is a scary proposition. What I have seen from this Council is the politics of retribution. Anyone who voiced support for the Republican candidates, expect to see your budget cut. And don't ever go looking to the Council for any help. You will be first on the chopping block. Isn't there something wrong when we have to be so fearful of being on a Councilperson's shit list?
