Ernest Troost is one of my all-time favorite singer/songwriters, but he is so much more than that. He won the prestigious Kerrville New Folk competition in 2009, and he is an Emmy-award-winning (and multiple Emmy-nominated) composer of more than 100 orchestral scores for Hollywood films and television. Beyond that, he is one of the kindest human beings I've ever had the pleasure to meet, and his live performances are mesmerizing. Thanks for telling us about "O Love". I can't wait to hear it. I'm sure it will quickly become on of my favorites as the other Ernest Troost CD's have.

I had the Lucky Girl New Mexican with the vegetarian burger about a week ago, and it was delicious. This wonderful food truck truly made me feel like a lucky girl!

Thank you, Billy Brooks, for fighting the good fight. Presenting music is the ultimate labor of love. I'm sorry to first be hearing of your venue at the time that it is closing. Wishing you all the best with your future endeavors.

I hear you. While not a classical event per se, the Kruger Brothers' repertoire spans classical music. Here's is a good example of that (snippets from Appalachian Concerto composed by Jens Kruger):

Not quite "everything artistic happening in Tucson". The Kruger Brothers will be performing with the Bob Meighan and the Dreadnutts opening the show at the Vail Theatre of the Arts on September 12. This beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre gets its name from the Vail School District which owns and operates it, but it is inside the Tucson City Limits! Details, directions, videos, tickets, and more are at www.vtota.org.

The Serious Eats writer admits to using their creative license to invent burgers for some of the states, and the Frybread Burger may well be one of those. I'm not a beef eater, but I still enjoy a good non-beef burger. My favorites are the turkey burger at McMahon's Steakhouse on North Swan and the Veggie Burger at the Voyager on South Kolb. If anyone knows where I can find a good turkey or veggie burger on frybread, I'd love to give it a try.
