I've eaten here with transplanted New Yorkers who thought it was very good and dined here with a Jewish friend who loved the matzoh ball soup as it reminded her of how her family fixed it growing up.
The pastrami sandwich is enormous and tasty. The free pickles to nibble on while waiting for the meal to arrive is also a nice touch.

Could this be announced publicly before the red-blue game and a fund drive done then? 13,000 fans at $5.00 each would solve the problem quickly.
"Invite your friends to like this page." Those suggested by Facebook were the ones most likely to be offended by cartoon dicks, much to my amusement.
I always enjoyed what you wrote about food in Tucson. You will be missed!
Awesome band. My daughter heard them at Telluride this summer and kept talking about how good they are.
The Hell Fire Pizza truck was at the Civano Nursery- I was impressed my order- a goat cheese and chorizo sausage pizza that also included mozarella and chiles. Spicy, excellent crust- my husband doesn't care for goat cheese but I urged him to try a bite and he agreed it was really, really good.
Those of us living on the southeast side of town and hungry for Thai end up at Lucky's on Houghton. Good stuff there.
V is on my list to try.
I'm looking forward to a trip to the Penzeys store- their vindaloo blend turns ordinary chicken/potatoes/onion into something really special. I've been ordering spices from them for years.
