I can't believe all the germs that are around that can make us sick or that can kill us and we are unaware of them. Learning about the bacteria that grows in the purse and sink is scary and surprising. Because there are all these microbes the public should be educated on it. I’m not saying everyone should be obsessed with germs, but maybe if everyone changes a little bit there will be less of spread of so many diseases.
Just recently I was in the hospital due to a complication with my pregnancy. I was waiting for triage and a hysterical lady walked into the ER. She had a huge Band-Aid plastered across her chine. She was shouting I need help. The ER people just told her to wait. She sat down beside me and started fidgeting with the newspaper. Come to find out she had mRSA. It is kind of scary that no special precautions were taken for this lady considering how it spreads.
This was just one experience that I am aware of. Now I think about what germs are on the door to my classroom or what is really covering my peaches at the store? Are there germs on the boxes of cereal at the store?
What he is doing is great but we need to do something about these findings or they are just as useful being unknown.
