Re: “Frogs Organic Bakery

Was going to try this place, but when I saw the menu and they charge $2 and $3 extra for a piece of gluten-free bread if you don't want the wheat bread, I realized the place must be run by an authenthic Paris frog.
Now you can get a frog rip-off without going to Paris.
If there were 16 slices of bread in a gluten free loaf, they are charging $48 extra for each loaf they sell at a $3 a slice.
Is this how you want to spend your money?

Re: “Danehy

I think of soccer as a game for children who aren't good at other sports, or for adults who don't have enough sense to know hitting a ball with their head is stupid and will make them even more stupid.

Soccer is popular where there is a large Hispanic population. In Houston, TX there is a very expensive, fine, new soccer stadium for the Houston Dynamos. It is impressive with the view of the Houston skyline. The games are packed because Hispanics are in the majority in Houston. In fact, Houston Hispanics now have their own chamber of commerce and their motto is "The New Majority." You will see soccer becoming the rage in your city when Hispanics are the majority. The world is changing, as it always does. It just seems to be changing more rapidly now.

Re: “Danehy

Tom, a good article. I hope you write more about this issue.
Illegal immigration has to be stopped at the border.
Borders are to be protected. Right now anyone can enter this country. And now Border Patrol is helping the illegals stay here. The illegals must be turned back. The border must be secured. The federal govt. is going to have to help or see our country overun with lawbreakers.
Legal entry to the US can be obtained. But law breakers don't want to bother with that.
Any place that offers sanctuary should be prosecuted for the crime they are committing.
Churches who harbor criminals should lose their tax free status. Companies that hire illegals should be heavily fined. Repeat offenses should bring jail time or sanctions against the company.

Sending US tax dollars to countries south of our border and hoping the corrupt governments will in turn help stop illegal immigration to US is ridiculous.
Nothing is being done to make our border secure and the illegal infiltration continues. Laws are in place to solve the problem, why aren't they being enforced?

Re: “Serraglio

I don't have time to read your article. But I have a question. When blacks make racist remarks, it is either for their music or it is expressing freedom of speech. When whites make private racist remarks it is a public outrage. The owner of the Clippers can say whatever he wants to his mistress and if I don't like it, I don't have to listen. But to ban him, to try to destroy him, is way out of line.
Was it true his black mistress made the private call public when he refused to let her black mail him to keep the call private? Will charges of unlawful phone recording be filed against her?
Next question. How can a white man who has a black mistress be considered a racist against blacks? Where is common sense in this unwarrranted attack on the man?

Re: “Danehy

PS: As for Mr. Bundy, the federal courts will decide on his issure I suppose, and no doubt the federal courts will decide in their own favor. The basketball team owner didn't have a day in court. I think it was the NBA that immediately decided on his fate. Maybe they see a chance to force a team sale and some big money will be made.
Could there be a hidden agenda?
Oh, surely not!

Re: “Danehy

Sure, that's right. We certainly don't want anyone but blacks to have freedom of speech.
Any thoughts you have of saying what you think, even in a personal phone call, run them by a black first to be sure it is approved.

How can a white man who has a black mistress be considered a racist?
He asked her why she went around with so many blacks. He asked her not to bring so many blacks to the game. He didn't say why. Maybe he thinks she has a black lover and he is jealous, but it would be hard to hang a racist label on him for that. It seems the blacks are the racists, jumping on anything they can take the wrong way.

The person who has committed a crime is the person who recorded the white man's private conversation without his permission. Who did that?

Is it against the law to be a racist?
I have read that anyone of any color who says he is not at all racist is not only a racist but a liar as well.
People are prejudiced about many things as a result of their background, upbringing, experiences, etc. But it is no reason to try to ruin a person for what he says in a private conversation, especially when no one knows what he meant by it.
As owner of a basketball team, he pays tens of millions of dollars a year to each player. That doesn't sound racist to me.
Instead of being trouble makers and haters, why not just sit down and shut up and go about your own business. The media has nothing better to do than try to make a big thing out of nothing and this only encourages people who want to make a big case out of nothing so they can feel important.

Re: “Cities & Homes

A lot of words just to say Tucson is a backward bore but some people like it. I am not one of them.
I was glad to see the last of Tucson and I would never go back. The corrupt police and politicians alone make Tucson too undesirable to tolerate.
No amount of creosote smell after a rain can wash away the stench of Tucson corruption.
Residents look the other way because they like to take the easy way out, or they don't have a clue what goes on in Tucson.
