I must say I am ALL for keeping "Speed Racer" cartoons out of our schools... Those are the raciest racer proponents out there... Before you know it, all of our children will have been exposed to the raciest materials around... And, OK, we do have Speedway Boulevard, but I don't believe we are ready to claim the title of America's "Raciest"City... I think Daytona or Indianapolis might give us a run for that title...

The Republicans have a shot at Gabby; she is ripe for the picking and she knows it. Can the Republcians avoid the circular firing squad? I don't know. But it will take a whole of campaign ca$h and snake oil to get Gabby's bacon out of the fire... If I were a Democrat that would make me sad because she's already spending a lot of time and effort pretending to be a "border avenger" and a champion of smaller, efficient government. It's like Nancy Pelosi, the stimulus, the health care nightmare, and cap 'n tax never existed. Why, in all of Gabby's recent Fox News appearances, you'd swear she's a Republican...
If this were going to be the cake walk "Frankly" and "Cochise" think, Gabby and the AZ Democrats would've NOT spent so much time and effort worrying about Jonathan Paton.
If it becomes a Kelly-Giffords contest, the real losers will be the citizens in CD-8.
I second Del's comments. At this point, Republicans in CD-8 are going to have to decide if they really want to win this one. I'd say folks are making up their minds pretty quickly now...
Ah, I am always amazed at the ugly face of politics--from the Left and the Right. The above comment comes from an obvious Giffords supporter... Notice the bent of the language. Yes, this is the open-minded, understanding New Left in America today, folks.
Apparently, this person failed to fully read the full court press Nintzel ran on the Republican primary in CD 8. That was not all sunshine and lollipops for any of the candidates.
But Democrats out there should look at the tone of this person's criticism... therein lie the seeds of your own undoing.
Jonathan Paton is the only true conservative in this race with a real record. Jonathan broke the back of the Democratic strangelhold on power in Tucson. Jonathan Paton took on the radical political agenda of TUSD. Jonathan Paton has defended the Second Amendment and has fought illegal immigration. Jonathan Paton has helped roll back the power of and influence of government and fought the tide of governmental encroachment which has all but killed economic growth in Southern Arizona. All that, and Jonathan volunteered to defend his country on the front lines in Iraq.
THAT screams leadership and honor. Jonathan Paton is the only candidate in the CD 8 race who has proven himself. All others have a significant service gap. Jonathan will be a truly great Congressman.
