One more old fart moved to Arizona. Been here about two months. Not adapted to this place yet, is it a city or a big sprawled out town? Spent the last three years in Cambridge, England thus the Screen Name and the 17 years before that in Santa Fe, New Mexico and loved it there. Mostly interested in food. I’m a pretty good Italian cook -and I cook Italian food pretty well too- but miss my New Mexican cucina. I have tried out Poco and Moms but they must be afraid to use too much chile lest they scare away the tourists. NOT a big fan of Sonoran stuff where volume replaces flavour. Looking forward to eating my way through a few Pizza joints and would appreciate some recommendations. Same for Chinese. Any good San Francisco type Chinese restaurants in town? Happy that a fairly decent Whole Foods showed up. AJ’s was beginning to get to me. Like Rodeo and looking forward to mid-Feb when the barrel racing begins. LOVE ballet and really enjoyed the Southwestern take on this year’s Nutcracker. Married and happily so. One kid, 32, lives back East and is currently buried under two feet of snow. :-)
