Far-eastside residents, take notice: You have a gem in your neighborhood. Sa’ing Thai is a mom and pop place that puts out a wide assortment of Thai food. Curries and soups come to the table sizzling hot and full of flavor. Balance is the key word here. The tom kah koong is served in a hot pot and is creamy and sweet, savory and spicy, all in one spoonful. The pun sib, the Thai version of pot stickers, are huge and cooked to perfection. Even the old standby pad Thai was elevated to levels of flavor not found elsewhere in town. (2-21-13)
