About time
I am glad he is finally addressing the issues that really matter. #1stWorldProblems
HAHA wow. That was pretty good.
@Burnie, with MEAN the operative word :)
There is a reason why no one mentions Elliotts.... food is terrible.
I can't really buy clothes at A&F, nor would I want to. (I'm a "retro" clothes guy). But I do like A&F mens cologne and related products.
Never miss an opportunity for free publicity.
Apple was slammed by Congress for following the tax code that Congress wrote. Go figure.
If Mc Cain can help kill the bundle scam. God bless him. If I want HBO or Showtime. I have to get all the sports coverage I do not watch. Shame.
That is awesome!!!
Monterey jazz fest in 1967 was the best.
I had an experience at Forever 21 at the Tucson Mall just yesterday. I needed a hot pink hoodie for a costume (à la Princess Bubblegum casual if you're wondering: http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lkww7gqLOU1…) and found the perfect hoodie at Forever 21. But they did not have an extra large. In fact, they make no extra larges whatsoever. Now keep in mind, a large at Forever 21 is more like a Small or Medium in real sizing. So the large, of course, fit me a bit snuggly. I was directed to their "Faith 21" section which has all of Forever 21's many clothing departments (Activewear, Denim, etc) but in plus-sized, crammed into a tiny corner of the store. Not surprisingly, no "Faith 21" comparable pink hoodie. Why no extra large guys? Would it kill you? You KNOW you're using cheap ass sweatshop labor, which is an infraction in itself...so would it be THAT MUCH more expensive for your multi-million dollar company to offer one more size in all your stuff for us size 12 gals?
Big and beautiful Arizona Gal.....the tat's don't look so good.
Get 'em girl!
Sorry, Jes is her name. Apologies.
Fun fact: They called her up yesterday. I'm amazed she was that coherent an hour off the red-eye flight.
I heard Amy' Bakery re-packages a MEAN sopapilla
Its been years since I had them, but El Minuto on main had some pretty good sopapillas that I can recall.
My kids liked the ones at la parrilla suiza, but I can not vouch, as I do not enjoy anything there.
And Asianhomecook is right, poco and moms is awesome, so if they have them, its a safe bet, but I have never tried them personally.
Jen is from Tucson, awesome!
Major snark by Jerry.
Re: “El Rio: Steve K Says Grand Canyon U Move to El Rio Not Likely”
GCU aside (there are within our fair burg many entities with bigot policies in place, so this is nothing new per se), why would Regina and the rest of M&C even begin to THINK about selling off a public asset that is widely used and enjoyed by the community (from specifically Barrio Hollywood to Tucsonans citywide more generally) without saying a peep about these plans to the impacted communities? Not even half a year ago -- http://www.tucsonweekly.com/TheRange/archives/2013/01/15/el-rio-golf-courses-future-time-for-community-input?mode=print -- TPTB were talking about making a park out of it (which wasn't universally accepted by the community -- some wanted to keep golf -- but would have at least kept the public space, you know, PUBLIC), and now they're doing a 180 and selling it into private hands when the City should be creating MORE green space not taking it away (COT's own Plan Tucson says we're "under spaced" vis-a-vis the amount of green space per capita). Lying to/ misleading the public about how public assets are managed (or not) and not even bothering to create a figleaf of public process is evil whether it's done for GCU or a company whose record on labor and human rights issues is beyond reproach. Ronstadt Center downtown, El Rio to the west, whose community is next?
