Re: “UA Adjunct Join $15 Minimum Wage Fight; Rally Happening Wednesday

Hi David: the article cites graduate students. As in adults with excellent skill sets-- so much so that they are studying advanced degrees. They are making on average $16,000 a year. I can see how you may be confused since fast food workers and graduate students are supporting each other for a living wage. A LIVING WAGE. As in, not living in poverty despite working.

Ice Cold, corner of First Avenue and Limberlost. Best gelato I've had in a long, long time.

Re: “Tucson Bike Share Program Getting Closer to Launching

After seeing that Tesla is paying workers 25 dollars an hour at their plant in Reno, it is nice to see some good news.
These bikes are a success in San Diego and I hope they are here too.

Re: “Free Nicoll: Bond Fundraiser Begins for Transgender Woman in All-Male Immigration Detention Center

The fact that this transgender person has raised 1200 for illegally entering the United States TWICE and wants legal and special protections boggles the mind.

I just don't get it anymore. No one should be abused in prison. But only American citizens should be afforded legal remedies and protections.

Re: “Excessive Force or a Necessary Move? Marana Officer Hits Armed Suspect With Patrol Car

This is .02% of a cop car plowing into a known and dangerous suspect that I approve of the actions. I hope this does not begin a trend. What if the suspect had his back broken and was paralyzed? The tax-payer would have to pay for his medical treatment in prison. No loss of life though, refreshing.

Re: “A Reminder of Hillary Clinton's Stance on Central American Unaccompanied Minors; An Annoying But Unsurprising Response

This is a true, "third rail" political conundrum. There are really no right answers. None of the answers do not cost the tax payer money. Sad for the kids, but America first.

Re: “Where's the Best Ice Cream in Tucson?

There's no best ice cream in Tucson, I spent 3 years traveling the Country trying to find the absolute best ice cream place and the thing I learned is different days you need a different thing. Somedays you need Thrifty's Ice cream from Arizona Pizza Company, some days you need the ultra sweet, ultra rich flavors from the Hub. Some times you just was a scoop and a smile from Santa Barbara Ice Creamery and every now and then you want the fun feeling of Dipping Dots from the Fuzzywigs Candy Factory in Park Place Mall. Where ever you stop for Ice Cream in Tucson you're already a winner. P.S. Gelato needs it's own catagory next year.

Gibby's Ice Cream not only comes to you but also has a variety of candy in her Ice Cream Truck. Not to mention the hot ice cream lady!

Re: “Responsible Legalization?

I think it's about war. This country has to have a war going on some place to keep the war machine going and well greased. So why not on a little harmless weed plant?
I just don't get it! This plant could solve a lot of this countries problems financially.

If we gave asylum to every person who has been persecuted in their own country, the US would add millions more to the dreamers. We cannot help everyone in the world, a fact we soon will have to realize, reagardless of their situation.

Bad guy apprehended with no loss of life or even injury. I'm calling it a win. Not sure I want to see this added to standard procedures though.

The good thing is video's like this and the one in SC, and other places are exposing the fact some people seek law enforcement jobs not as public servants but to "do what they seek deep down, murder under the color of law"!

Re: “Excessive Force or a Necessary Move? Marana Officer Hits Armed Suspect With Patrol Car

The good thing is one can believe anything one wishes, do as one wishes but judgment day is a atonement day, this fellow obviously was mentally ill what is the excuse the sadists give here who glory in inhumanity, ungodly thinking, I guess I pity him and those here who like Jesus said on that cross "forgive them lord they not what they do"! But like the two thieves one either side of him, one went to heaven one did not!

Re: “Excessive Force or a Necessary Move? Marana Officer Hits Armed Suspect With Patrol Car

When did shoplifting, being mentally ill and suicidal become death penalty offenses? I missed the passage of this law, in a swat sniper situation a "order to kill has to be ordered" when did this officer get the "order to kill", when did he have the authority to decide he could kill this man with a squad car, I mean his actions cannot be explained as if he was merely going to disable the man, no non-lethal weapon was used, he used deadly weapon/automobile, now one can be sadistic, cold hearted, less than human and decide his mental illness suicidal ideology is sufficient to warrant a death sentence but then one has to wonder what kind of human being are you! I guess the good thing is we all do get judged one day by Jesus and I bet those who think this action was ok who cheer when someone is executed, murdered by law enforcement will have a rude awakening, eternity is a long time to pay for ones arrogance and ignoring what Jesus taught!

I think it was pretty amazing. Most times, in situations such as this, the criminal winds up very dead.

I have absolutely no sympathy for Valencia.
