Re: “Bringing Pride to Arizona, That Fabulous Tom Horne

What does this mean for couples who adopt--will this now become illegal based upon Horne's crazy argument?

Re: “Article About RAW: Natural Born Artists Might Confirm What You Thought About the Organization

They have broken artist's hearts as many as they have "supported". I know so many artists who lost out on a lot of money and dealt with a lot more pain for the shows and popularity contest "awards" shows. It's quite saddening. The organization could have been something spectacular. Raw does not support artists - it supports the owners ego and . . . drinking apparently. TRUTH.

This is ridiculous and insulting.

The Sun Link Urban Transit System has no room for inappropriate acronyms.

Re: “Bringing Pride to Arizona, That Fabulous Tom Horne

So by Horne's "logic", My wife and I should not be allowed to be married because we are not going to have children. Since I guess since we " “do not advance that compelling state interest” because we “can never provide a child with both her biological mother and her biological father.”

Why is it a "compelling state interest" that a couple has biological children?

Re: “Nintzel Returns to TV (And more on Sisley Termination)

There are now close to 97,000 people who have signed the petition to demand that Dr Sisley be allowed to complete her PTSD research at the U of A:

It goes beyond uncivilized and barbaric for legislators like Kavanaugh, Biggs, and Yee to try to keep medicine from children and others who can benefit. Kavanaugh, Biggs, and Yee continue to listen to the voices in their heads rather than to any external voices of reason. These are the truly vile and wicked people who care only for profits of private prisons and not the quality of life of those in Arizona. They supported giving a million dollars in unsolocited funds to private prisons while our children are left with the lowest per pupil expenditures in education in the entire nation. Support our veterans and the people of Arizona. Insist that this important research be completed.

Re: “Simple, but Delicious

Moves and firewalls? Dan, you and JK are speaking some kind of journalistic lingo that is hard to decipher. Here is what I am saying: The Mercado is as diverse a destination demographically as any retail center I know of in Tucson. Our neighborhood worked to achieve a vision of small local businesses that provide neighborhood oriented retail including a genuine farmers' market. The Mercado is not just some "expensive firewall" it is a neighborhood focal point for celebrations as personal as birthdays and ethnic as the Dia de San Juan. It is as close to what hundreds of neighbors spent years discussing and petitioning for as I can imagine possible. It has high end and it has economical just like our neighborhood. Nattering naybobs like you have been threatening the G word ever since Rio Nuevo was passed by the voters in 1999. But we just want an empanda to go with our cup of coffee in the morning and a raspado to cool off on a hot summer night. And we are grateful that minority and women owned and local businesses are providing this to us at the Mercado. We want to walk and ride our bikes to support local farmers at the Food Bank's market at the Mercado. We want to celebrate our diversity and culture as the birthplace of Tucson at festivals at the Mercado. If you can't understand that I don't know what to tell you.

...and then we could look at results. Oh look, there really aren't any. Accept population out of control with open borders and environmental degradation.

Excuse me but we have a water shortage.

There is really no indication in Mr. Sulu's post that he was fooled by the fake headline.

But seriously, if I only had to pay $4 to ride the CLITT all day, I'd be all over that.

Of course, I'm sure Mr. Horne would also oppose marriages of the impotent, barren, infirm and elderly on the same grounds.

Re: “Tucson Streetcar Facebook Parody “CLITT” Page Has City Fuming

I was born and raised in Tucson. My best friends father is the one who brought the trolly back. It was a good way for 4th Ave. to make money and get the college students to the bar district. Less DUI's and actually fun to ride after last call.
I find this highly humorous and it sure set my funny bone off.

Re: “The Skinny

You know that photo of Gov. Brewer really is nice. What happened at the Tucson Weekly! How did they let that happen?? LOL
Agree with the other two comments. Clean the illegal aliens, feed them and SEND THEM HOME. You don't need 3.7 billion dollars for anything more. First class airline tickets don't cost that much.
If you think we need to keep hundreds of thouands of illegal peons here then you are crazy.

Re: “So, Christine Jones Is (Probably) a Terrible Candidate for Governor

Scott Smith did a lot for Mesa. I have lived here for 12 yrs and I see our tax dollars at work here everyday. Can the rest of you say that anyone else running can prove what they are saying about themselves. Scott Smith can. I believe he is the best candidate and Jan Brewer has endorsed him.
