The bus system suffers because ridership is concentrated among the poor and the young. I suggest closing city and county employee parking lots and offering discounted bus passes. Pressure school districts, the University and hospitals to follow suit and we'd transform Tucson. Time to become a city instead of a swarm of gas-guzzling roadbugs.
No, Trump will fracture you.
And the rest of this country.
Usually when a troll says "Have a good day" in their posts, they know they've defeated and they have ran out of ammunition.
Yet, here you are again to bring more of your off topic nonsense to this thread.
Stop it already.
Thanks, Tom, for this amusing and perceptive piece.
Really chuckled over this one: "Anybody who doesn't know the difference between "less" and "fewer" should demand a refund of his college tuition. Or his prep school tuition. Or retroactively fire the nanny who was raising him while his daddy was getting rich at Goldman Sachs."
Timely article. Thanks.
I'll be visiting and likely buying a special piece for a west-facing window.
No one is even in office yet. Soon, it will be time for the media at all levels to quit getting all "wee-wee'd up" about Trump-Twitter rants or casual remarks and fairly and factually report day-by-day policies and legislation and government workings. Team Trump went visiting the West Wing of the White House and asked how many workers there were staying and how many were leaving. They did not know that ALL of them are leaving. Get serious.
I know he is not in office yet, but when that nominee for top-cop Attorney General said that "good people do not smoke marijuana" he clearly showed his cards and, like Trump, will never admit he's wrong. Richard Nixon had a "no knock" law with police crashing through doors to catch "bad" people and soon we may have them standing in the living rooms of America again.
The movement itself is based on a total lack of self control. The country has a serious problem with it.
Why get up in the morning? What a sad sack full of hatred and jealousy
The reason the legalization of marijuana is gaining any momentum at all in certain circles has less to do with the change in public attitudes than the potential for taxes and monetization by government entities and powerful corporations.
If you need any examples of how terribly wrong this can go look no further than efforts to tax and monetize the Internet and social media. As soon as the powers to be figure out how to make the "Interweb" pay out, you can forget about streaming anything other than infomercials.
As for legalizing marijuana, same thing, once they figure out how to tax it and the corporations are growing it look for "Big Fats" and "Quarter-bags with seeds" with more carcinogens and added ingredients than fast foods.
Seriously, from Standing Rock to "Lalopalooza" -- worst segue ever, even with the rock and roll headline.
