I'm no fan of nuclear arsenals or dropping such bombs. But it is ignorant to to put nuclear-electric energy production in the same article. For example in Japan the death toll from earthquake and tsunami was at least 10,000 and Ariel, I think you may have been more concerned with Fukishima which killed 1?, injured 2? Yes it was scary but so is the current weather.

Hi, all– just to be clear, the $4,500 debt is that of All Souls Procession Weekend 2010, of which Procession of Little Angels is a part, but not specific to Little Angels which costs very little to produce by comparison.
And though the Spring Circus event is a fundraiser for Procession of Little Angels, the theme hasn't much overlap with those of Little Angels or All Souls Procession beyond the carnivalesque elements. Little Angels is an event that contends with matters of mortality "meant to stimulate some dialogue with parents". Spring Circus will be straight-up fun and play. Come join us, and support your Procession!

If the reindeer went on strike santa would outsource the cheap labor. It would probably take a little bit longer and NORAD would have a hard time tracking santa and his outsourced employees scattered over 3rd world countries. :O

Thats incredible horses painting it is amazing what you can get animals to do, horses are very smart and catch on quickly. It takes a lot to keep horses in great physical and healthy shape with products for horses and caring for your horse. There's been nothing like Marjorie Congdon Caldwell since Lucretia Borgia.
The whole lurid saga waits for a first-class script and big-bucks production to turn itself into a real block-buster.
Of course, Ms. Congdon/Borgia needs to be in the loop as a consultant with screen credits and a %. It would keep her in limo- and room-service until she's ten toes up.
And don't leave out an up-keep-in-perpetuity fund for Glensheen!

Jimmy is right. I wish I could be about 10 different places this weekend! While Nathan McEuen and Scott Gates are national acts, the local angle is that they will be joined by Tucson's own Kevin Schramm for the show on Saturday night. Kevin was the accordion-player for the Mollys and now plays with the Last Call Girls and Way Out West. He has been inducted into the Tucson Musicians Museum, and he adds a lot of fun to every show. azjimn2son: Some things, we don't hear about until it's too late, if we hear at all. Other things ... well, there's only so much space, and only so many writers (and this coming weekend is probably one of the busiest, events-wise, in Tucson). As for Cinema coverage, people want to read what our unique writers think about movies like Legend of the Guardians and The Town. As for other coverage, every single event we've covered (except maybe the Music feature) has a strong, direct local angle or interest. Sorry we can't cover everything. We really do the best with the resources we have.

Lately, when I read the Weekly, I ask myself, where is this paper being written? There's so much happening in Tucson that you plain ignore. There's a film festival that's been going on this week , which, as far as I know, you never once mentioned. You know there are filmmakers in Tucson, right?. The kind of film reviews I see in the Tucson Weekly, with all due respect to the writers, I can read those kind those kind reviews in the NY Times or LA Times, or the New Yorker, etc. I like to read different perspectives, but you don't find people at a local publication who can write about film as well as, for just one example, Mahnola Dargis. I'm at loss as to understanding the non-local nature of so much of your content.

I was raised Catholic, and I remember every month the church newsletter would have a list of newly banned books and movies which the Catholic Church deemed inappropriate or just plain morally wrong. However, my father hated censorship, and would read every banned book just to see what the church was trying to keep from us! This pretty much guaranteed that even "Lady Chatterly's Lover" had a place on our bookshelves!

I'd just like to add that much of the credit for this exhibition belongs to Waverley Chmura. Waverley is a recent graduate of ASU and a volunteer at the Museum. Her degree in art history included a certificate in Asian Studies, and she did most of the research for this exhibition. This was Waverley's curatorial debut, and I'd like everyone to know it.

Just a modest suggestion. You might want to read some of those books about Hitchcock, especially "Hitchcock," by Francois Truffaut. Or some of the other interviews Hitchcock gave about Psycho." One in in George Stevens Jr.'s book of interviews with "Hollywood masters" of what he calls the "Golden Age." While the horror movie elements are all there, Hitchcock considered "Psycho" a comedy, a very dark one, but still a comedy. It's filled with little jokes. Just for one, think of Norman Bates' hobby, and the last name of Janet Leigh's character.
