Re: “Good Bloat Days: Bloat Records

A most wonderful time to have been in Tucson. The Talent and Creativity seemed to have exploded raining down and enriching the parched palette of the Pueblo Viejo. Reading the quote from Becky "Bebe" sparked a memory of her contagious soul filled laugh unlike no other. The contributions of Bloat and it's Artists may be unknown to many but for those who were graced with the enjoyment of their Art realize they received a special gift.....

Re: “Another Look at TUSD Salary Hikes and Prop 123

Everyone who wants to know about a TRULY important and telling story in TUSD needs to click on this link:

http://www.kgun9.com/news/tpd-officer-feared-for-his-life-at-tusd-hs

Please note that one part of the story refers to a letter sent to HT Sanchez by Tucson's chief of police. In any other town, this sort of correspondence between the superintendent of the city's largest school district and its key law enforcement official would be front page news. The Weekly has ignored it so far, as has the Star. Why?

Virtually every story in this blog about TUSD reads like it could have been ghosted by their PR flacks. Here's a real story for Safier and anyone else at The Weekly to get into and surface some more facts. It has implications for the operation of TUSD, the upcoming Board election and, most crucial of all, the safety of students and staff in every school, not just the school featured in the story.

When will the journalists at The Weekly and the other media outlets in this town start to do some real work and report on stories that TRULY matter?

Re: “Zona Politics: Meet the Democrats Running for State House in District 9

Arizona has one of the highest prison rates because we are one of the most uneducated states. Too many kids are not graduating from high school, or not learning a trade after school. Who's responsible? The state, or the parents?

Re: “Cosplay Confidential: Check Out These Outfits from Phoenix Comicon

That is when it all started. Mr. Barnes helped to create some great friendships.

Re: “Cosplay Confidential: Check Out These Outfits from Phoenix Comicon

Mr. Barnes had no idea what he started when he sat us next to each other in that Lineweaver Elementary class. Unfortunately too many of those comics were Richie Rich/Casper.

Re: “The Skinny

Can't agree with the Trump-Twitter-type comments. However, at his age, I'd like McCain to consider retiring gracefully instead of getting pushed out by members of this current carefree and crude Trump inspired "base" of McCain's party. Bacteria have more class.

Although I don't agree with every thing he said, I love a person who pulls no punches and speaks his mind.

Re: “Eyes on the Streets

I appreciate your story Patti(I'm assuming this "comment" is for you rather than the organizers -tho I can appreciate their work too). I have been briefly homeless I've had friends in homelessness, I've worked in a supportive housing program for formerly homeless families. So i'm familiar with the aspect of being homeless that renders you, me, anyone who's homeless - our humanity especially- invisible while simultaneously exposing us to the harsh & constant visibility of judgement & all too often the disdain and blame that accompany this dehumanizing impact of poverty in America. I wish you the best of luck in your desire and ambition to participate in revealing the real that lives in the reality of being poor & homeless in our country. I will be thinking about potential collaborations we can do across state boundaries (I'm in San Francisco).

Re: “Told You So: Gawker Names Arizona Worst State

Fuck all of Arizona in its little self absorbed ass. I have watched people in this state be the rudest and meanest dumb pieces of shit on Earth. Come down here and try to drive with these mongrels and asswipes...btw to you losers who go on about how much you love this state you probably do not live in the bigger cities, you probably have nice homes away from shit you would not survive interacting with. Yuppies meth heads and assholes are all you offer. I have been trapped here for 22 years and this place is shit. You who live here for the most part are also shit. Think about how "nice" you all are and then kindly fuck yourselves.
