Martha continues to brag about not wearing muslim clothing while she was in the gulf war little realizing that the order was given, at that time, to show respect for the customs in the Arab world where we were fighting. Yes, bad word usage makes me cringe as well. I am wondering, though, where Martha has been living and working since the last election. Arizona? Out of state like before? Employed as a candidate by her corporate backers? She claims to be watching out for seniors, but, when I spoke to her before her last election with a concern about plans to privatize medicare and social security (an excuse for someone ELSE to take part of the money needed for our benefits) she answered, "What do you care since you can opt for the current plan." Why would I NOT care for others as well as for myself?\
Actually, even by your own research, the "bad guys" couldn't be brought to justice legally, because they were let go every time they were brought to trial or arrested. But they were still determined to kill the Earp brothers. So how was Wyatt a murderer by hunting down the men who were trying to not only murder him and his family, but were trying to ambush them like cowards? In my own opinion, if you knew your family and yourself was being hunted, and you knew who the murderers were, I think taking them down before they take me down would be not only the right thing, but makes a little bit more sense that sitting around waiting to be murdered. I think Wyatt and the others were brave men who wasn't scared to take out the trash......and they did. In my book he and his brothers earned recognition for bravery in the face of overwhelming odds!!!!
IT is too freaking dark down here..thats why there is so much crime
Rat T - you meant the republicans have forgotten the middle class, right?
I don't believe that Tucson has not gotten lighter. I moved into my house 20 years ago and could see the Milky Way at night. Now it is hardly visible. I wonder if it has anything to do with the two very well lit Walmart parking lots that have been built within one mile of each other (a Neighborhood Market and Super Walmart)? Having high velocity lights on tall poles spreads too much light and allows it to escape upward. Having shorter poles - 8 to 10 feet - closer together prevents light from escaping upward and lights the parking lot better. Kudos to Lowes, which is right next to Walmart, because they turn off their lights at 11 p.m.
Ok....how about gluten free pizza for those with Celiac who have never liked thin crust pizza? OR....an inexpensive gluten free pizza joint for those who have to be gluten free and aren't choosing to go granola on all of the rest of their diet? I am so tired of places that offer gluten free foods also getting great reviews for their "organic" offerings. I want pizza, not a salad. I want sausage and pepperoni and I am not willing to pay double or triple because the cow or pig ate grass instead of feed grain. Let me find that gluten free restaurant PLEASE!!
I also cringe at phrasing of "We can choose different" (:09). Unless the ad is saying "We can choose (something) different," I believe it should say "We can choose differently."
Too bad about the No Muslim Garb thing, if there were ever a candidate for the Burka ...
Never mind that our dark skies are adding to pedestrian/bicyclist fatalities. You tend to hit what you can't see.
Poor The Smokey Bear.
So my questions are as follows:
1. Can we sue Phoenix for that eventual "lost" revenue, eventually?
2. Can we scrap the Dark Skies Initiative and start lighting stuff up? Maybe we can become Phoenix and have jobs/companies magically appear overnight?
Moxie is also available online from Amazon! That's the good news. The bad news is Moxie tastes the same as when it was introduced as an elixir good for curing softening of the brain - really awful.
There is one candidate for the TUSD board holding a Ph.D. who apparently does not understand the difference between "loose - my pants feel loose" and "lose -it would be a shame to lose your iPhone." Another candidate uses idiosyncratic and bizarre capitalization in published comments . Neither is running as a Republican.
As with McSally, I don't mind and won't be voting on the basis of their mastery of grammar and spelling. If you nitpick each candidate's misuse of grammar, you could "loose" your mind - and Dear Reader's confidence.
In the same ad, you must have also noticed the adjective/adverb mistake "choose different" instead of the correct choose differently.
Voting is worthless anyway.
This band slams! Just saw them over at the Rialto... They did a cover of gnarls barkleys' Crazy, it was bad ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait till there album drops!
Regardless of the camouflage, the real story is there are fewer jobs than Obama/Barber promised. Many fewer. Minimum wage pushes upward and the rich get richer but Democrats have somehow forgotten the middle class.
Except when they formulate tax increase plans.
Dan, you get a week's pass for your own (if any) grammatical errors for writing this piece.
actually, to me it seemed like she was advocating less jobs.
