That was sweet! Well put.
" [The Irish] were nobodys ideal of the desirable immigrant. The typical Irish Catholic arrival in New York or Boston was a peasant with little formal education and few material resources. Worse, these people were religious aliens the papist hordes who threatened to swamp Protestant civilization and, in their ignorance and superstition, destroy enlightened democratic American values."
Yes, and God forbid they should be allowed or enabled, through the use of public funds, to educate their children in Catholic schools, where the horrors of "Popery" would be passed on to another generation. Like the children of Native Americans, they needed to be educated in state-sponsored, government controlled schools that could wash the dirt of their parents' religion and culture (a.k.a. "ignorance and superstition") off of them and transform them into "true Americans," i.e. promoters of the secularized form of WASP values transmitted in public schools that pretend to be value-neutral, but that actually convey subtle and not-so-subtle disrespect for religious traditions the Constitution of this country guarantees its citizens the right to exercise.
But anti-voucher, anti-tax-credit policy advocacy is not a form of anti-Catholic, anti-immigrant prejudice, is it, David?
Perhaps you could explain again why not. In preparing your enlightened policy explanation on this topic, consider interviewing a few descendants of Irish immigrants to get their opinions on the pros and cons of various mechanisms for funding Catholic school systems in the U.S. Then again, interviewing them might not interest you: what they believe and value doesn't matter, except when it can be used to support your pre-fab repertoire of Democratic party policy talking points. And grass roots, ground level research or "critical thinking" of any sort doesn't need to play any role in the trotting out and exercising of those tired orthodoxies.
What a shame, pumpkin. Enjoy your tea party.
You didn't say anything about using the same name. You accused someone of being anonymous, which makes you a hypocrite.
Also, you're not messaging back and forth with me in Danehy land. I've only posted here under the username you'll see below. I didn't post under the name "C orn W hole 13" here or anywhere else.
It's not just one person who keeps changing their username to respond to your trolling. You need to realize that you actually have a fan club full of people out there who are willing to challenge you in the arena of ideas.
I could stop responding to you for good and you're still going to get responses from the others. You should be proud that you've attracted an audience.
Or maybe it's because a good chef has actually trained and practiced a lot and knows how to use herbs, spices, different textures, different flavors, and appealing presentation to the best possible effect.
Yep, the libs are totally to blame.
Not the conditions brought on by the Mexican government or the conservative exploitation of them for slavery wages.
Nope, it's all on the libs.
What, Again says so and he always knows what he's talking about.
Except for when he has anything to say about what he perceives as people being liberals.
I'm afraid the pencil-necked geek doesn't anything else.
"Is there a minute in the day when Safier is not full of hate?"
"The human toll associated with immigration is real and a factor for our department. Every year, we recover approximately 150 bodies in the desert areas of Pima County. "
Have you worked with the open border liberals and explained to them that they are the facilitators of these deaths by encouraging them to come here? Have you looked at your policies and accepted that not enforcing the laws is contributing to these deaths?
" ...and welcome additional federal resources,..."
Say goodbye to those.
In Los Angeles that home would be a half million dollars. Here, it may belong to the Mayor.
The drug and crime problem actually keeps other high quality employers from relocating here. The wages do suffer because of it. Secure the border, drop sanctuary city game playing and deport the criminals. You can then buy your own health insurance.
No,but I stick with the same name. Have for years. Like I said over in Danehy land, I'm done with you. I love how you know all about President Trump's taxes. The Weekly's answer to Rachel Maddow. Another loser. Bye.
I've decided you ain't worth my time. Maybe one day you'll actually make an intelligent point.
This is Treat Avenue.
Is there a minute in the day when Safier is not full of hate? Is there any wrong, real or contrived, that Safier won't find Trump responsible?
When will liberals take responsibility for many of these deaths by luring, baiting these people to risk their lives crossing the desert so liberals can exploit them for the government dollars that follow them.
I'm sure I'll go here eventually, but let's not pretend this is something new and different. Burgers and fish tacos? Um, how exciting?
"Sorry, this track or album is not available."
I wear green to celebrate them not me. To refuse is simply racist.
