Re: “Seeds of Growth

Gardening is a great experience for all ages. My favorite plant to grow is the TickleMe Plant. I love how the leaves fold together like magic when you Tickle it! Everyone will want to grow a TickleMe Plant.
You can find the kits online

Re: “PY Steakhouse Bar: No-Limit Libation

Heather, next time you go, enter via the hotel/resort and avoid the casino craziness.

Re: “Babylon Market: Super Market

I LOVE Babylon! It's my go to spot when I need any Middle Eastern ingredient and often provides a delicious pick-up-on-the-way-home dinner for this family.

Re: “Za’atar: Desert to Desert

After you try this place try Zayna's on Speedway east of Alvernon. Then let us know the winner.

Re: “Bam Bam Food Truck: Driving Fusion

Seriously. I wish you drove around my hood like the ice cream man. I'd have Bam Bam for every meal...

That photo looks delicious. Bring the truck by my place around 5.

Re: “Za’atar: Desert to Desert

I wish this place well, but that simple ground beef green chile at El Taco was a phenomenon.

Re: “Korea House: Kalbi Rising

The staff is really rude if you bring kids. I'm not even talking little kids. They ought to just put a sign on the door. My wife's Korean, and we've stopped going there entirely. Not the same style, but try Seoul Kitchen - those are good folks.

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

@PickyPalate - bottom line is, yer all gonna get older, even you hipsters, so better get used to the idea.

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

How are the acoustics in Reforma? We were at Union last night and could not conduct a conversation across the table. Likely won't be going back there, unless we choose to sit outside ... maybe in November.

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

What ageist drivel! If the place does not tone down the seasonings to appeal to older diners (something I have never seen done anywhere) why even mention that the crowd "skews much older" on weekdays? Is this a coded warning to the cool young hip types to avoid the place, lest they catch something?

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

The happy hour menu here is actually one of the better deals in Tucson with 3 dollar tacos. It has the largest tequila selection I have seen in the Old Pueblo. Service is great to boot!

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

Reforma delivers modern authentic Mexican fare with the most amazing tequila selection to boost. I agree the patio dish is the star along with the carnitas. Both must tries. Love going for Margarita Mondays and tequila Tuesday's which both offer half off the whole day. Will definitely work my way through the list.

Re: “Reforma Cocina & Cantina: Refine and Reform

I tried this place twice and Tucson has way better Mexican food. High prices and snobbish attitude. No thanks.

Re: “Nothing to Relish

I have been there three or four times this year and found food and service to be excellent. Glad they fixed it.

Re: “Nothing to Relish

The two year old review does not apply. We went Friday happy hour early June 2015. Service was very good, efficient and friendly. Food also very good. Some of us had dinners and some had appetizers. No complaints. I might also comment that the noise level was better than most places. The bar has two TV's but they were unnoticeable in the dining area. I expect to be back.

Re: “Korea House: Kalbi Rising

Just on the comment about the bibimbob being bland: The dish (without gochujang) is meant to be bland, because gochujang is part of the dish and not necessarily an addition. Just because it doesn't come mixed in with the rest of the ingredients, it doesn't mean it's not part of the dish. I am the crazy Korean who tells all her friends to use more gochujang because really, that's what brings out the flavors. Gochujang isn't optional! Too spicy? Then pair with some soy sauce to get the salty flavor.
