Thank you, John Brown, for pointing out the typo. I fixed it.
Sarge, I appreciate your feedback as well, although I'm not entirely convinced you should be lecturing anyone on clarity in writing.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
KT,, name one thing that Ron Barber did while in ofc. You can't.
Why not ask Tom. Like I said, I never had any of my comments pulled because they were judged to be vulgar and uncalled for.
It must be nice to have parents who pay for your out-of-state tuition at the UofA, your expenses (obviously including an unlimited booze budget), books, a new sporty car, and $1,800.00/month rent at your party residence. I'm sure these young people are all model citizens with a well developed sense of responsibilities imbued by their parents... right....
CW13. With friends like you, who needs enemies?
love this place...sounds like it's going to just get better!!
Well, Sammy boy there was NO oppression here in Az and this recount process is evidence you just don't know what you're talking about. Thankfully, even idiotic speech has 1st Amendment rights.
(It is, btw, called tautology.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I wish Mr. Barber the best. First, he took a bullet and then, without planning it, carried on conscientiously for Rep. Giffords and demonstrated soft-spoken professionalism, decency and distinction. Rep. McSally also seems quite decent, and I look forward to watching her at work. If she blindly follows the Hastert Rule and refuses to ever vote, we will have all lost a real legislator.
Too bad it took a news story to set this in motion but at least a few of these boobs are gone. Even worse is that they didn't learn at home the hard lessons they are now learning.
I suspect the reasons the evictions are being challenged have more to do with these parents not wanting the brat back until next summer......if then.
Substitute one pro-war-machine corporate tool for another...
No change there!
(And gawd, that rat-t -- if it didn't already exist here already we'd have to invent it)
Congresswoman McSally just follow the Constitution simple
Just another place for "cool people" at a "cool location" with a way overpriced menu. Too much dinero just to be "cool"!
Let's face it, by the time Diane Douglas looked up "raison d'etre", she would have forgotten the question.
I don't know what all this other jive is with the above posters. I would like to say that I consider myself a right wing Republican, but I have a great deal of admiration for Mr. Barber. He is an honorable man and I agreed with him on a few issues during his short tenure. I wish him and his wife the best and Via con Dios! I also am of the opinion that we might have made a mistake putting the Col. in there. Having said that, Feliz Navidad!
and while on the subject of respect:
"The Babadook" started out creepy and atmospheric enough, but by the midpoint, it telegraphed its punches so clearly that I knew both (a) what was going to happen in the second half, and (b) not to worry too much. Maybe the "child in peril" angle scares parents more than it does those of us who have opted to remain childless. It's a *good* movie all right, mostly thanks to Essie Davis's performance, but I was expecting more based on the critical hype it received.
I'm thankful that Congresswoman~elect McSally is more gracious with these two lying idiots than I could ever hope to be; or than they ever were with her. The lying attack ad claiming a stalker hunted down and killed the husband and daughter of the woman talking is as low as it could possibly be. In truth, the woman, the ex mother in law of the supposed stalker was complicit in those deaths and should publicly apologize for the lies she told. Her personal hell will continue until she does so.
If ever there is a man who has shamed the uniform of this country it is this manipulative husband who is just another out of work squid exploiting for his own financial gain the injuries suffered by his wife and the deaths of all those in that store parking lot. Former Congresswoman Giffords, and the rest of this country would have been better served if he had been the pilot of the shuttle "Columbia". At least he would then be an everlasting hero instead of the bum he is now.
