Re: “The Skinny

Don't worry about the Grand Canyon. I'm sure it and every other National Park are under consideration for new Trump hotels and resorts. The Twitterer-in-chief promised jobs and thanks to America's untapped natural resources and treasures just lying there for the taking, well let's just say you better see them sooner than later.

Re: “Guest Opinion

Putting all else aside, how is it OK that one candidate gets a guest opinion that is in essence a political advertisement for himself? Did the candidate pay for this advertisement? Does the Weekly intend to extend the same opportunity to other candidates in the future?

Re: “T.H.R.E.A.T. Watch: Journalist Christiane Amanpour Is Worried

To quote Reagan, "there you go again" Danehick. Christiane wasn't lecturing America and she wasn't talking about Trump. She WAS talking to other journalists about their need to step up and report the facts and question our leaders. in order to ensure the survival of our democracy.

Re: “Guest Opinion

If I remember correctly, Steve first left the Republican party and then registered and ran for his second term as a Democrat because the Republican party, even here in Pima County, proved inhospitable to a centrist Republican council member. Republican or Democrat, Steve is the same intelligent, honest, hard-working council member for whom I wish I could vote.

Re: “High Hopes for High Times

Just a tidbit a new foundation is being set in Washington a new congress.

Congress just passed a" 21st Centuries Cure Act " This was co written by Our Martha McSally.

https://www.statnews.com/2016/11/30/21st-century-cures-act-house/

This is major this alone in the 11th hour will force the new congress to take action. We will see the schedule 1 change and study federal standards licensing processing standards. flower will be allowed as it is the fastest delivery method possible controllable on dosage and safe.

We dont hear that much from McSally in this tumultuous political climate. With this we know that she is working this is how the schedule 1 change will happen. Plus so much more for mental health. A bomb went off in Washington exploding the climate I am happy to have her there in a senior environment with a need to come to her endorsement for the next congress.

Re: “High Hopes for High Times

IMHO. To see a qualified doctor with the certification and discuss the use. This alone should be a strong consideration for keeping expanding as well as new targets to direct.

I talk frequently with my neurologist and internist about my use and relate that. I have asked several times if there was an alternate medication. While they all said yes we can try some but in your case it is trial and adjust. Then they all looked at me with complex why would you want to change what's working? My blood work is in control, you're moving around you can help with your high functioning autistic grandchild why would you want to change? Well the stigma and the possible legal ramifications.

So here I wonder Just what is up with our congressmen get this off the schedule 1. There is no other target at this point we dont need crony capitalism of marketability like the public rapeing that 205 would have done. It is not about legalize and tax at some point others have to understand it is about health and quality of life.

Re: “Escape Goat

So people who rage against government and regulations of all kinds including clean air and water want state government censors?

Re: “T.H.R.E.A.T. Watch: Journalist Christiane Amanpour Is Worried

We have just witnessed eight years of a supposed free media manipulate the country to the point that their own polls proved that the public is fed up with them and their partisan lies. I blame them for getting Trump elected. That and the fact that Obama has not helped our country. Instead he has buried us in debt and problems, all the while promising hope and change.

Pelosi is proof. Democrats have failed us and the media helped.

Re: “T.H.R.E.A.T. Watch: Journalist Christiane Amanpour Is Worried

David Safier supports and excuses lying politicians and lying administrators of public institutions then they are on his side of the political spectrum.

When it comes to all this "let's support the TRUTH" rhetoric, he has nary a leg, nor a foot, nor even a toe to stand on. He is a HYPOCRITE, benefiting from the inattentiveness of many of his audience, who don't follow what he writes closely enough from one blog post to the next to know that the same man who excoriates Republican LIARS in one post is excusing Democratic LIARS and throwing cloaks over their inexcusable actions in office in another.

This is EXACTLY the kind of POST-TRUTH behavior in the media that undermines the public's trust and destroys the possibility for constructive political discourse in this sad country.

I am a Democrat, but I want BOTH Democrats and Republicans to be held accountable for telling the TRUTH.

Re: “A Democrat in Trumpland

Grijalva is worried about the private sector getting too much power? Most of our problems today are his fault.

How can he miss Castro's funeral?

Re: “Letter to the Editor

Interesting contrast on Google maps. If you go to Google maps to Broadway and 5th and drive around, some angles show the old parking lot and some show the new construction started.

Re: “Guest Opinion

Interesting that two out of four respondents accuse Kozachik of abandoning the Constitution and the Bill of Rights without providing any factual evidence... It seems as though they either dislike Steve on a personal level ot they simply don't understand either of the Founding documents the mention...
