Good call Governor Ducey.
Wow, so all you need for asylum in the U.S. is to dress like a woman or be gay? Spread the word.
Nintzel says "The state has enormous unmet needs…"
But yet fails to explain why thousands and thousands and thousands of illegals, their education, their healthcare and welfare are the responsibility of Arizona taxpayers. Billions of dollars to leaches from another country, their burden on the backs of low wage earners just trying to get by.
Thank you Tucson and Ms. Herreras! Looking forward to seeing: "Manny Bones, Many Hearts."
Steve,my friend and I thank you for reminding even we snowbirds. Create our own Culture! :)
thats all mexicans do is sleep
Look at policing for profit that went on 20 years ago right here
I wonder how many remember the Vice Squad Sargent shot dead while trying to Rob at gun point. The owner and convicted cocaine dealer of a Tucson strip club. Thinking a excon would not have a gun. Or just recently the BackPage investigation with city police & officials. We need police and they do a good job mostly. All monies & property of any kind or sort they collect during the official capacity of police needs to go to the general fund.
I found nothing in your column about the IRS targeting conservative groups.
Funny, I was under the impression that this country was founded by people who were upset about
their taxes and lousy representation.
I found nothing in your column about host number four at MSNBC being found to owe thousands in
back taxes. They tell the rest of us "whiny little maggots" to suck it up and pay our "fair share", but refuse to pay up themselves.
Will you point them out as hypocrites Tom?
I doubt it. You will probably just go on bitchin about Fox News to your little amen chorus here at the TW
Why create more bureaucracy? Just have the people that run the Alcohol licensing take care of the dispensaries.
Like when he cuts $100 million from the university system and drops all support for community college. Then he passes a tax cut for the wealthiest residents of the state that will cost the state $19 million this year and $24 million next year. When he has the state senate pass a bill that prohibits the state from creating a state exchange which will cause 200,000 people who WORK not to be able to get health care? Like when he panders to the gun lobby and the Koch brothers, you mean that wonderful Doug Ducey? He should be deserving of a thank you for something that should have been implemented a decade ago. Sheesh... CW13, you gotta stop watching Faux News.
Well said, desertrat . There was an article quite a few months ago - not sure whether it was in the Weekly or online - that compared the electric company to the industry that used to make buggy whips. As cars became popular, people weren't buying buggy whips any more, and they sought protection by politicians. Similar events when scriveners were no longer needed due to the advent of photocopiers. This is what happens with capitalism - technology progresses, and new industries take the place of old ones.
The day will come - not sure whether it will be in two or three years (probably more) or fifty years (probably less) - when we no longer need the electrical grid, and that day will come sooner in the Sunbelt than it will elsewhere in this country. The combination of solar power and smaller, more efficient batteries will eventually become universal. In the meantime, electric companies, I recommend one word to the electric companies - diversify. You can make this transition smoothly, or you can be dragged into the future, kicking and screaming.
Bahahaha have fun trying to get your money cause soon as you do the IRS is coming to audit why you have soo much unidentified income. Circumventing the government under the guise of Health and medicine will quickly become transparent for the criminal you are. ahahahah its the truth and you can dislike it all you want.
Why ? Because I'm the champion of annoying left-wing stooges like you ?
Nutridawg, there will be another screening on Sun Apr 26, at 7pm. We hope to see you there.
I wish I knew of a good place to get guac around here. I make my own and many people have told me it is the best they have had.
I haven't had any BAD guac, it's just that I haven't had any that stands out. Maybe they still use my recipe at the Ironwood at the ASDM, I wrote it down in their cookbook 15 years ago...
Good job, Gov. Ducey.
*From a sorta liberal commenter, so shut up, CW13*
It's sad how Pulitzer Tommy can't actually make a good point without saying something moronic to ruin it. Let me see if I've got this straight. If you're a Republican you hate children, the middle class, the poor, the semipoor, the really poor, the working poor, the non-working poor and the part time employed poor, minorities, gays, women, clean air, clean water, people having health care, and anything else that can't put money in their pockets. If the last one is true the Clintons would be poster boys and women for the G.O.P.
Zachary's. RIP. You will be missed. Especially since I finally ate that last piece in the freezer.
Yeah, yeah...I'm late to this, but it would be great to have a Best Massage Clinic category, since Tucson has so many - and they typically don't fit into the Spa or Alternative Health category, although that's where many end up.
