I ask you to start by re-reading Pulitzer Tommy's opening paragraph. Decorum? Choose their words carefully? Blowhard. Super blowhard. Blind squirrel. Tea party crazies. Me thinks Tommy needs to practice what he preaches. I honestly thought that it being the Holiday season that both sides would pull back and chill for a few weeks. Guess I was wrong. There he is Mr. civil liberal, Lord of the Losers himself, Pulitzer Tommy throwing jabs, snide remarks and his usual dose of hateful, factless remarks. Talk about a phoney. I'd bet my bike that he'll be front and center at midnight mass on Christmas Eve, making sure that everyone sees him. I'd rather be homeless than be him. Well, I was going to be a good boy for a few weeks, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. As far as vice president Cheney goes, I'd rather be Dick than dickless.
P.S. Signed up yet, Tommy?
I'm sad to know that my child will only know of Mandela in a historical sense like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. Apartheid was as close to slavery as could be legislated in the 20th century. For Republicans in this era to not understand this shows how far they have come from the party of Lincoln. Lincoln killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and if the south would have one would have been called a terrorists.
If the Weekly needs a real Pot Editor, I'm offering.... Studied English at Rugby School in the UK, so I think I can handle the job! I also have the benefit of being an actual, legitimate MMJ patient!
So, Rep. Barber, when does the "Affordable" part of the ACA kick in, much less the quality? You would do well to work for a single payer plan similar to what every other industrialized nation has implemented to date, not force your constituents to pay exorbitant monthly fees for substandard care to corporate thugs.
I personally would say Bloom is a ripoff, as are most of the dispensaries. Smith obviously has no clue about genuine medical marijunana use. As someone with chronic pain from herniated discs and defective knees, I must use marijuana daily in order to have a normal quality of life. Some days, when the pain is especially intense, I can use up to an eighth. $55 an eighth is a ripoff, especially for Bloom's, poorly trimmed, loose buds.
No medicine is worth $55 an eighth. Some dispensaries, such as Purple Med, are starting to address this fact. They currently have J-27 and Dark Shadow for $35/eighth and Blackberry for $25/eighth. I won't pretend its top shelf, but its potent, tasty, well trimmed, dense bud.
People like Mr Smith are a detriment to the Medical Marijuana industry, as are all those who faked it to get a card. Recreational users are paying the prices that are allowing the dispensaries to gouge us legitimate patients, because when you are a recreational user, you don't care as much whether you pay $35 or $55 for something that will last you two weeks!
Why did you leave out "Ask A Mexican" AGAIN!!!????!!!????
Dan, that sounds puzzling. I too enjoyed Vanderpool's meaty articles and his propensity to ask tough questions. Too bad. Any chance we might have him back someday? If not, I hope his successor is worthy. :(
Not to be a killjoy, but in Tucson EVERYBODY I saw, regardless of race, ethnicity, creed or color, dragged his/her butt while crossing the street. I think it's just a Western thing where car culture takes precedence over pedestrian culture. People out West aren't used to traveling by foot, so they do it gingerly and with caution. (Just my tongue-in-cheek theory, anyway.) Remember "Walking in L.A." by Missing Persons? I think it applies to AZ too.
The resultant of this oppressive regimes end is to discourage all but the poorest Mexican ( illegals ) and Blacks to ( and I might add ) Stupidly have kids in Tucson. Any and everybody else will send theirs to Private School, or Home School them. In the end, Everybody KNOWS, contrary to prevailing homosexual/pornographers dreams and views, La Raza will never mix with los Mallates, except outside of school and on the fringes of their neighborhoods. In otherwords, even after 60 years, Diss-segregation will continue to be needed.
In dealing with the rapidly shrinking middle class in America, the proposed solutions would be:
• Democrats—Try to help poor people move up and help those currently in the middle class to at least maintain their position.
I'm in the lower middle class, and the democrats haven't lifted a finger ( except for the middle one ) to help me. They AND the Republicans ( whoever the hell is in power ) have just taxed the hell outta my ass, and blown the money on ways and means of securing their oppressive domain.
Libertarians should be in power, because at least I would be able to get high and laugh at this pathetic excuse for a government for the people by the people.
the resistance is maintained and $upported by the Feds, ATF, DEA, ICE, etc whose members livings are bolstered by it, and by the Cartels in and outside of Mexico, and the criminal mafia groups here. They mostly inflame local opinion against use through School, and Church organizations to bring pressure on legislative representatives to continue prosecution and to NOT decriminalize. That keeps the cost of obtaining it High and more profit to suppliers because production costs are actually low.
95 dislikes between me and namvet. Not a bad weeks work. Does my heart good.
How pitiful. Making fun of a young german for something done by a madman 75 years ago is much like continuing the racism and slavery towards blacks. What were you thinking?
They want their Mayberry back. Problem is, for most it never existed. It was a fantasy reserved for those with the right income and skin color. Over the years, this bubble has been getting smaller and smaller, but unfortunately stronger. It will eventually fall under it's own weight, but not without doing this nation serious harm first. They've already made us painfully aware that they'd rather see this country burn, than be wrong. It will eventually die a natural death. But some things are never dead enough.
Nam6870vet: Wait, are you talking about the Cover-Up or a concert mentioned in an advertisement? If it's the Cover-Up, you have the dates wrong...it ran from the 12th through the 14th. If it's an advertisement you're talking about, I don't have any control over those...I don't even generally see them until the paper is printed.
So, thanks for noticing something, I guess?
with the abandonment of science, logic and reason in the republican and tea party platform, I find the irony in your statement(s) supremely amusing.
Here's an interesting observation for the editor; the issue is dated the 12 of December and yet an advertisement in the paper's header is for concert on 10 December. Nice job!
FACTS... a wooden stake in the heart of liberalism.
jlm713, the implication for both the Republicans and Tea Party is treason. Meanwhile the consistent comments how great the Democrats are and how bad everyone else tells the entire story of Tom's narrow-mindedness and bigotry. If Tom were to remove his head from his ass and read something other than the DNC and White House talking points, he may have a chance at making an informed statement. As with the rest of the "liberal lemmings" they are afraid to do any research because they would discover how wrong they have been for many years.
LouisWoo, you may want to read something other than the revisionists' history and look at facts, your ignorance of the FACTS is appalling.
Arizona white supremacists have imported from Michigan a disgraced radio shock jock who is heard often on 104.1 FM, had to flee Michigan when he got caught faking a drowned dog story, calls himself superman but has a bad ticker, dark soul who often mocks Mexicans, now I am white as rice so before the racists start accusing me of being illegal that one will not fly here!:-) To ad insult to injury the white supremacists imported a second 104.1 FM shock jock a white man trapped in a black mans body who constantly denigrates his own race on air as shiftless, lazy and entitlement addicts! In a bygone era they called such a old uncle tom, but my view is they are just some poor self hating black person trapped in the wrong body!:-) The good thing is they are in misery here in Tucson since they will never run anything, the right wingers at 104.1 FM and their pals at channel 9 cannot get a right wing dog catcher elected down here and thank god we do not have one of their messiahs like Arpaio costing us tens of millions in lost civil suit judgments!
