CW13 --Don't forget his other two favorite topics. Girls basketball and Charter Schools. He seems obsessed with us too. Tommy has about hit his level of writing. It's as far as he can go.
I am glad they hate us. They don't seem to like a two party system and after the get the vote for the 15,000,000 illegal aliens there won't be any anyway.
Ever notice how obsessed Pulitzer Tommy is with the Tea Party? If he thinks we're a bunch of fools doomed to fail, why not just ignore us. Just sit back and wait for us to become extinct then stand up and cheer. But, not Tommy. He can't write a column about his favorite Mexican rerstaurant without throwing a dig at us. I'm pretty sure I know why, but I think I'll keep it to myself.
P.S. Signed up yet?
One of the many ironies about the anti-government TeaParty is that they are heavily funded (re Koch brothers support) to get into the very government they strongly oppose. In reality the TeaParty only represents a tiny sliver of the changing demographic of our country. Their extreme beliefs are simply inconsistent with that demographic and therefore generally irrelevant if not usually selfish and mean spirited, especially toward the disenfranchised and poorer people of our country. I have often witnessed people sympathetic to TeaParty policies voting against their own self interests. If TeaParty contingency is so anti-government, perhaps they should consider living off the grid, or simply finding another country to move to.
actually it has been with us - under various names - since the South lost the Civil War and it isn't going to fade in the old South any time soon.
What has happened is that as a result of the Southern Strategy it has spread nationwide in Republican circles and has taken over the party. That will fade once the party loses enough elections outside the South.
But in the Deep South it will be with us for a long long time.
fraser007 is right. Tea party members don't care about anybody's opinions but their own. They don't care about anybody but themselves, and they don't care about America. It's all about what they can hoard for themselves, screw anybody else. They can't even hang together enough to form their own political group. They have to attach themselves lamprey-like to the republican greed heads. Pitiful, really. Like cockroaches, they will now scatter back into the dark corners of the republican party, avoiding exposure to the light of reason, and keep infesting that party until once again, they will skitter into the open to brazenly feed on republican leftovers.
Well, you one thing right. The Kino Stadium is in a crappy place and the Toad was responsible for it. We sure paid a big price for that decision. And finally...who cares what you think about the Tea Party!
ride in the blind spot, teabilly.
This is why I call him " Pulitzer Tommy" A few more gems like this and the N.Y. Times is gonna come a calling and snatch him away from us.
Dressed up like Barry Goldwater as a kid expecting others to get your odd choice, an adult planning a costume for 4 months and a sense of humor that you would direct someone to use deodorant on his beard to simulate an armpit?
Dude, you're alternately foolish and alternately strange.
Add increasingly irrelevant to that.
A mother kitty brought her kittens to the porch recently; two adorable tiger-striped and one beautiful black kitten with an ominous strip of duct tape stuck to its side. I went to trim its fur to free it from the duct tape the next morning they had vanished. Their mother comes around so I'm guessing and hoping she simply relocated them again.
When we grew up, our parents would take us around the neighborhood; maybe also to the church for an evening of fun with friends and seeing who was brave enough to bob for an apple or other kids' games. In urban settings now, strangers often cruise for miles and miles, including some mighty big kids, scoring candy from strangers. Either turn off the porch light & house lights or let's just go out somewhere.
Halloween and religious holidays are indeed for children. Boo and bah humbug. Ha!
Take care, everyone.

Back in the days of bottles, sealed with corks, burnt cork was the sane and semi-official way to draw your hobo's five o'clock shadow and beard on your face. It was a helluva lot easier to get off than shoe polish.
Remember your catechism, consorting with the devil is a mortal sin according to your church. Say two hail Marys, one our father, and father O'Malley is waiting for you in the vestibule. Halloween gets one entry in the hitchhikers guide. The guide says it's "mostly harmless". Teenagers tend to ruin it for everybody, though. Tucsonans are lucky in that we get to celebrate twice. Once for Halloween and once for Dia De Los Muertos. Hopefully, in a few generations, it will meld into one incomprehensible week long party complete with processions and mardi gras style traveling costume balls.
Call it a wild guess. Are you signed up yet, Eric?
"I love it. Liberals clicking on dislike without leaving a comment. Hate those facts don't ya ? Signed up yet, Tommy ? This is too easy."
Some things are so idiotic that they don't deserve a response, but I'm going to make an exception in this case. Question: If the people didn't comment, what evidence do you have that they were liberal?
I love it. Liberals clicking on dislike without leaving a comment. Hate those facts don't ya ? Signed up yet, Tommy ? This is too easy.
All you Obummercare fans. Read the article that starts on the front page of today's Red Star. Then read the one on page 2. Funny. Too frealen' funny. Don't dislike me. I didn't write them.
This made my day; perhaps my week. Thanks.
Tom, As usual I agree with you 100% but I have to point out a mistake. Rivera was born a Rivera to a Puerto Rican father. Here's a snopes.com article along with his UofA yearbook picture: http://www.snopes.com/media/celebrity/gera…
Ted Cruz took a high risk strategy that may actually pay off. He said that Obamacare was so flawed , mis-managed and expensive that it should be scrapped. And being in the minority party in the Senate, he had to take measures that the " club" wouldn't like. Given the problems with Obamacare....failed web site, dropped insurance coverage, punitive premiums for young and healthy, MD's going concierge, etc... he may turn out to be very prescient. His approval levels in Texas are up and for a Texas senator, that's all that counts.
Of course I got 4 dislikes already. If there is one thing liberals hate is facts. Well, Tommy ?? Signed up yet ??
