Wrong, Again posted that liberals love to be ignorant and arrogant.
Taking that definition into consideration, that would make Wrong, Again the most devoted liberal on the TW site.
You presume to write about TUSD, but you are ill-informed.
What is all this beating around the bush and hinting about Stegeman and his mysterious plans? Anyone who has been following the district knows that he has been scheming for some time now to evict some hapless neighborhood high school enrollees from their TUSD campus and turn the campus over to University High School (UHS) and a newly created, co-located middle school. This shockingly clueless, elitist, anti-integrationist plan is about all Stegeman has up his sleeve in the way of high school closures. There is no formless monster of collaboration with evil capitalists lurking in the background.
Would you like to start becoming decently informed about what is ACTUALLY going on in the district? Go on the Three Sonorans website and find the link to the League of Women Voters-YWCA sponsored TUSD candidate forum and listen to Stegeman brag about his UHS-separate-site plans and state his belief that electing any combination of candidates other than Foster and Juarez will result in a majority that will make UHS-separate-siters dreams come true. (He is wrong about that, but I'll leave that discussion for another time.)
For now, let's just emphasize what anyone actually WATCHING this district knows full well: NONE of the incumbents, not Stegeman, not Juarez and CERTAINLY not Foster, merit re-election. Enough dysfunction. Enough scheming and infighting. We need a fresh start with honest leadership.
The problem with liberals like safier is they are totally closed minded. It's all their way or no way. Critical thinking, alternative perspectives not allowed. They love to be ignorant and arrogant.
Man how do you sleep at night? What kind of journalist are you? You pig. You should be ashamed of yourself. You might as well work in Turkey, Syria, North Korea or one of the many other countries that does not have freedom of the press. You are clearly false and have the reasoning of an uneducated TUSD student. Kick rocks David and pray to God that you pay for what you are doing to our kids by justifying this behavior. Stegeman, Betts, and Rustand are my choices!
Sometimes fishing expeditions catch a fish, like this email exchange between Pima County Communications Director Mark Evans and County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry. Seems like both are violating the law by politicking on taxpayer-paid time, not to mention the insubordination of plotting against their employer:

I added new fact checks today. Page is hidden until you say go.
I've held off posting replies on Miller's Facebook page until this page was ready to go. Want to hit
her with both at same time since it's sure to cause a reaction. (BTW, I told McNamara what we're up to and he thinks it's a story. So does Nintzel. I haven't said anything to Dan Shearer because he's sure to react negatively to it. Prepare for a backlash on talk radio and inquiries from ADI about how much this is costing). http://webcms.pima.gov/cms/One.aspx?portal…

David, when is it enough to simply sacrifice all of your credibility and reputation? At this point I feel like there is a little man inside of you who simply wants to commit hara-kiri.
IT ISN'T ABOUT CLOSED SCHOOLS.
It is about the policies of your buddies, the grihalva board, which are causing teachers and students to flee the district. And you know what happens when there are no teachers or students in a school, well it is closed. So why not for a change quit throwing BS, such as TUSD Kids Fist wants to push out kids for condos or Stegeman wants to close schools just because well he wants to close schools, and FOCUS ON THE DAMN ISSUES, FOCUS ON THE KIDS.
***Where did your Board Majority hide the 123 and 301 money THAT they took from the teachers? When are these dollars going to the teachers?
***Why did the Board hide the discipline issues and what is being done to fix these now, not next year, now?
***What is being done to handle IEPs and 504 plans which are not being adequately handled as kids slip through the cracks?
***Why do the support staff at schools get shafted financially while HT takes care of his buddies at 1010? Can we put this money back into the schools?
***Why is TUSD hiding the situation with Magnet schools and their precarious situation of losing their status? What is being done to fix this?
No, not meaningful discussions!!! For you Mr. Safier it is all about protecting the control of the $600M budget so your grijalva friends can hire their inlaws and spread the money wherever they want while destroying our public school district. I hope you are proud of yourself. Can't wait to send the Auditor Generals Report this coming year to you so you can see how good you are doing.
The FBI has just re-opened its investigation into Clinton's personal email server. The "optics" are not good with this latest outbreak linked to Anthony Weiner and his wife (for now) Huma Abedin's (Clinton's most trusted advisor) and a lurid case involving Weiner's online predatory correspondence with a fifteen year old girl.
Fun to watch the Clintonistas pitching predictable fits, now excoriating FBI Director Comer who was once their hero for not indicting Hillary. Congratulations to the Democrats. They've nominated the only candidate capable of losing to a certifiable lunatic.
Proud American - "excerpted" the Constitution? You mean the President included an excerpt from the Constitution in the Executive Order? I may be wrong, but I really don't think there's anything wrong, legally or otherwise, with including language from the Constitution in an Executive Order.

You misinterpret Hume. Hume doesn't deny cause and effect. Let me assure you that Hume acknowledges that if you light a torch and put it under your finger your flesh will burn.
What Hume is referring to is false associations and education is loaded with them. For example high performing students are so closely associated with Advanced Placement that surely Advance Placement causes at least some of that high performance. But, in the NELS study where they followed thousands of students from 8th grade on into adult life and they could carefully compare high SES students, they found no impact from Advanced Placement with the exception of one Advanced Placement class: Calculus.
In the late 90's, the National Reading Panel spent $10 million analyzing 10,000 studies, the top 10,000 studies selected from prestigious journals, and found that 96% of them weren't worth the paper they were written on. Even the other 4% had significant flaws.
Education culture is a mess precisely for the issues that Hume raises in his famous discourses on cause and effect. This is why the huge longitudinal studies are so important. NELS and the ECLS are guiding lights for education policy because they meet Hume's standards for cause and effect.
Bog Mann, your information is incorrect.
Pima County's outstanding debt is:
COPs: $168 million (not voter approved)
General Obligation: $345 million (voter approved)
HURF revenue: $110 million (voter approved)
Sewer Revenue: $568 million (voter approved)
You must not have attended the League of Women Voters and Metropolitan Education Commission debate between Dustin Williams and Margaret Burkholder. It was the clearest demonstration of the superior qualifications of one candidate (Burkholder) over another (Williams) that I have seen in a live debate in recent memory, and served as an excellent example of why live debates are still critically important to help voters make informed choices. I usually vote Democratic, sometimes Green, but Burkholder, Napier, and Bob Burns for AZ Corporation Commission were my three R choices in 2016.
You got it right with Bob Burns and Napier, but really missed the mark on Burkholder. Who cares what she did in the aftermath of the City Council election? She is the best candidate for the office for which she is currently running. After the debate between Burkholder and Williams, I compared notes with several die-hard D voters who had attended: all were persuaded that a vote for Williams would be a vote for weak leadership.
See what I mean ?
To all who disliked my comment to Mari, I notice that none of you offered an opposing argument. Too easy, Brother. Too easy.
I was the first person Ally hired and I've known her for about 20 years. I've also been a friend, coworker (Honeywell) and employee of her husband, who's a great person, at Raytheon (twice). Based on my history with her, I can attest to Mr. Nintzel's reporting on this subject. It shouldn't matter if you're a liberal, moderate or conservative - a person with these behaviors should not be in public office. Decisions are made based on their perceptions rather than facts and they don't interact well with people who disagree with them to resolve issues. Most people would not want these characteristics in a public official or leader.
If the 37 year old man-child is What, Again, I'm sure that the "illegals", liberals, those with white guilt and those who sympathize with these groups were blamed for the downloading.
"Now I'm wondering what happens with Clinton's election? As women, I don't think we need teabaggers to remind us, as they did with racism, that misogyny is alive and well in the good ol' U.S.A. I don't need that."
People (teabaggers you say, will reject Clinton as president because they are misogynists? I'm not buying it. The majority of voters who dislike and/or distrust Clinton, have varied reasons for their antipathy the least of which is her gender. For me, her responding to a question concerning why she accepted $775,000 from her friends at Goldman Sachs said it all: "that's what they offered."
The Clintons have accepted tens of millions from true misogynists, their wealthy donors in Quatar, Saudi Arabia and the emirates. Want to worry about sexism, start there. She is the luckiest woman alive, gets to run for the presidency against a loud mouthed fool. There are worthy women in the Democratic Party, all of them would be a better choice than Bonnie Darrow.

I wonder if the 37 year old man is What, Again.
Nice nod to a tremendous man and the impact he had on the music we love. Thanks.
