Re: “The Skinny

I think it's a great idea, defund homeland security. I thought that was the job of the F.B.I, and Border Patrol. Just think how much money it would save.

Planned Parenthood also has many links that support this with actual data. However I decided to post an independent site because many people have so many false beliefs about Planned Parenthood and probably wouldn't read it anyway.

Re: “Smoke and Mirrors

They better start looking for all the alcoholics as well and those that have more than one drink a day. If you show up to work sick you get docked for infecting others you have to interact with. One could go on and on. I thought we all have personal choice.

Re: “Anti-Abortion Bill Passes State Senate

Rat T you are woefully uninformed. When Democrats are in power and Planned Parenthood is fully funded, there are far far fewer abortions. Planned Parenthood's primary goal is to prevent unwanted pregnancies. President Obama cannot do it alone. By wanting Planned Parenthood not funded, you are creating more abortions because people get desperate.

Re: “Anti-Abortion Bill Passes State Senate

2% of what they do is abortion? 100% of their attempts end a life.

Bring back the death penalty. Chances are, they are far more deserving of it.

Have I missed something, or is there no longer any interest in television media reporting? Just asking...

Re: “McSally Sidesteps Questions About Clean Funding Bill for DHS While Shutdown Looms

I saw her on an AZPM interview. For every question asked, the words Obama "overreach" were in the answer. I think I heard her say "overreach" at least eight times. The Rs cleaned her up well; straightened and fashioned her hair and gave her all the RW talking points.
She has no original thinking.

Re: “Anti-Abortion Bill Passes State Senate

I do not like Ducey but he did say something that I have thought for years. He told the churches to step forward and start helping with these 1000s of children who have been abused, neglected and need help. He said you are the ones who stand against birth control and abortion. Now step up and help. I find this spot on in so many ways. For me I never had to decide whether I was for or against abortion and birth control. It was decided for me as I watched the same people who are against them lobby, protest, and yell to close Planned Parenthood. 2% of what they do is abortion. The rest is primarily counseling on all the choices we have to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Yet these groups protest them. I see social services that help children from fostering to child protective services extremely underfunded and ignored. I see schools maligned and underfunded. Do I think Ducey's answer is the right one? No .... I think every person who truly loves children should decide whether they are ready to have them or not for they are a huge responsibility. THey can't have it both ways. Ducey at least pointed that out.

Re: “UA Undergrads Were Also Heard on National Adjunct Walkout Day: 'We Hold a Great Deal of Power'

How can a College Dean make $500,000? This is no worse than Corporate America where the CEO makes 50 times the low man on the totem pole.

The spreadsheet with all the U of Az employees salaries needs to be posted with every one of these articles. I will take it a step further and want to see ASU and NAU's spreadsheet posted too.

Re: “Anti-Abortion Bill Passes State Senate

Abortions should be free and legal. Birth control should be free and legal. Euthanasia should be free and legal.

Re: “Smoke and Mirrors

So do you move County employees onto the "..county's high-deductible health insurance plan rather than the alternative Preferred Provider Organization that about one-third of the county workforce uses because the high-deductible plan is cheaper for the county. Huckelberry has proposed retiring the PPO plan by fiscal year '16-'17 ?"
Do you also move obese, cardiac employees onto that same plan if you see them eating chips & dip? This is a very sllippery slope. Certainly a County plan designed to support recognized employees at greater risk due to: 1) smoking; 2) obesity; 3) heart or lung disease history; 4) etc, etc, etc onto this "high-deductible" plan is FULL OF JURISDICTIONAL/COURT RELATED COSTS BECAUSE THIS PLAN WILL END UP IN COURT!
How about some incentives related to planned education programs to urge a change in behaviors, how about installing a gym in county buildings that would allow employees to exercise before/after/at lunch time to improve their health, how about a county wide tracking program with those employees willing to sign up and have their exercise and other health parameters monitored and recorded? Encouraging healthy alternatives instead of blanket penalizing known health behaviors will get far better complliance!

Re: “Moving Along

Sure, let them finally document themselves, then they can finally be deported. Once at their home country they can visit the US Embassy and begin the proper applications like the laws state.

Re: “"We're Planning to Keep Cutting Education Spending," Conservatives Say

maybe there wouldn't be such a big push to privatize them if they were not running by thieving money grubbers that have destroyed the basic product, in exchange for mass quantities of wasted money on their pet projects.

Somebody needs a mirror.
