Re: “Education Budget Rumblings from D.C. — All Cuts, All the Time

"What, Again is exactly right, again!"

You could threaten to stick hot pokers in my eyes and I still would never, ever say that.

I have an account dumb ass. You know, the type of account your chicken shit ass never bothered to establish.

You can't imitate me successfully. I would say nice try, but that would be a lie.

Get out of the basement and do something constructive Wrong, Again.

P.S. : I notice that you're being a snowflake about your comment being removed. You should be used to it by now, but the crybaby in you just can't take it. When your commentary is off-topic and disrespectful, it may actually get removed. Imagine that!

Re: “Education Budget Rumblings from D.C. — All Cuts, All the Time

The money is taken from everyone, not just liberals. It's then "rewarded" to scumbag conservatives. Nobody expects you to notice the obvious though, you never have and never will. You'll never open your eyes and see the truth, you find it so much easier to be in denial.

Also, you added a period after an exclamation point. That's probably the most original thing you've ever done.

Keep up with the (unintended) originality. That would be great!.

Re: “Education Budget Rumblings from D.C. — All Cuts, All the Time

This is an interesting and related story to the one above. Democrats are being beaten by smarter less educated voters. It makes one ask the billion dollar question, "why is education failing us?" It may be a good thing to cut funding until we get some answers, as there is no point to wasting even more.

Re: “Education Budget Rumblings from D.C. — All Cuts, All the Time

They have to cut the budget because they are going to deport some of the student body. The sanctuary cities are going to become compliant with federal laws, or lose even more money. The lawlessness must end.

What other laws are these cities breaking?

Re: “We Look Smaller in Boston

Hi David,

I saw that, but I assumed they meant teaching about social justice using the two maps, not their mathematical or historical contexts. Why did I make this assumption? Because your other quote states "are confident their new map offers something closer to the geographical truth." Geographical truth? As I stated before, map projections are mathematical in nature, not political, and are the result of trying to fit an imperfect geoid onto a flat surface. There is no pure geographic truth once you have done this. You can make maps that maintain some aspect of geographic truth (distance, direction, area, shape) but you cannot have it all, no flat map is geographically truthful and their merits should be measured by their usefulness as maps within their proper context.

I still think you have an opportunity to add to these kinds of stories instead of regurgitating some other journalists work. The piece you are quoting from is clearly missing accurate non-politicized information about map projections. You are smart and have experience as an educator. Bring some of that to the table here at the Weekly and step up your game!

Re: “"Martha McSally Is Not Answering"

Her fax machine is still working until everyone figures that game out too. Give it a go, it's free (I had bad luck with .doc files; you should print/export your .doc as a .pdf and it works like a charm):

Still too hard? No computer? You can fax by text message: Text RESIST to 50409

Re: “"Martha McSally Is Not Answering"

Meanwhile the PM of Iraq says that they may take back Mosul from ISIS. he says the progress is phenomenal since Trump took over. He blamed Obama for "not wanting to get involved." It's what liberal do when the going gets tough.

Re: “We Look Smaller in Boston

The nice thing about the Peters projection is that it demonstrates that Europe is far too tiny to absorb millions of immigrants from Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, who have enormous land masses of their own already.

Re: “"Martha McSally Is Not Answering"

The Republicans just want to eliminate anything that has the name "Obama" attached to it. Trump wants to do it because President Obama nailed the orange lying shitbag during the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011 and Herr "Drumpf" made up his mind at that time to get even for being humiliated. Republicans spent 7, count 'em, SEVEN years trying to eliminate the Affordable Care Act and they did "NOTHING" "ZERO","NADA" for the American people during that time. They continued to draw their hefty salaries and receive the best HEALTH CARE in the nation. My concern is that the American voters are so easily duped by the Republicans because ,"You can fool some of the people ALL of the time" and it was proven during the 2016 election.

Re: “"Martha McSally Is Not Answering"

Rep McSally proves very tough to interact with. Voicemail boxes locally and in DC full, one is left with email, but that's only through her web site, using the "Contact" form. If you have the patience to wade through multiple levels of security to post your question? The result of my attempts to comment and ask questions about legislation?. I am entered on her electronic mailing list, which yields regular emails telling me what a wonderful job she's doing on every front.
At least it seems non-partisan. She's ignoring Republican, Independent and Democrat constituents equally.
She's apparently intent on building an "Anyone but McSally" coalition in 2018!

Re: “No Healthcare Vote Today After All

Neither party has any idea what to do about healthcare. Our immigration policy, which favors extended family reunification and a high supply of low skill workers to keep wages low, virtually ensures we will never have money for healthcare.
Both parties are arguing about who pays for healthcare. They should be arguing about how to make healthcare more efficient and affordable. They should also re-orient our immigration system to favor high employment rates for American workers , who will then be able to afford healthcare, and fewer unskilled immigrants.

Re: “Does This Mean We Can Call It McSallyCare Now?

As long as for-profit insurance corporations are really the ones in control with no public options, there will always be increasing rates no matter who is in office or who needs health care the most. I fault McSally and many, many others in DC for avoiding this central problem. Insurance companies want to keep receiving your premiums, but they do not want you to ever get too sick because it is too expensive. Worse - they are consolidating into a few huge monster corporations that will most assuredly lobby office holders and spend millions of that premium money instead of figuring out better care.
