Re: “The Skinny

McCain is supposedly 16 points ahead in the latest AZ polls and his betrayal has already begun. Can you believe it? Read the latest on The Hill:…

Donald Trump asked Black voters, “What have you all got to lose?”

Someone else asked, “Why do Republicans allow these debates to be run by Liberals who never ask Hillary about her lies and emails?” Republicans??? Right. And McCain says he is a Republican.
My family are Republican since before the Civil War. My first vote was for Goldwater. I am a Rabid Republican, but my Republican Party is gone – US and Arizona – my “Party” hates Conservatives.

What must we do? We must win the War against our enemies…
And our only chance to win the War is Trump in the White House.
So November 8th I am voting for Trump… and for Kirkpatrick.
“WHAAT? What do you mean!!!”, you ask quietly. (We know how quiet you are.)

Kirkpatrick will be a weak first termer we can defeat in 6 years. Moreover she is by far the lesser evil. McCain ALWAYS betrays Conservatives; to believe McCain will oppose any Hillary SCOTUS appointment is as foolish as believing he will care about those dozens of our fellow Veterans dying every year in waiting lines at the Veterans Hospital a few blocks away from Senator McCain’s very comfortable house in Phoenix.

Trump is heading for a Brexit-style victory; I believe it, you must.
When Trump wins, McCain’s SCOTUS vote becomes irrelevant because Trump will only nominate Conservatives to the Court. When Trump wins McCain will probably pretend to support him.

But, if, God Forbid, Hillary wins, McCain will join his “Rock Star” buddy Hillary and will stab Conservative Arizonans in the back as he always does.
So Conservatives, just this one time read the Hill article and vote for the Damned Democrat.
What in God’s name have you got to lose?…

Re: “Hell Yes! The 2016 Tucson Weekly Endorsements

Re: Francis Saitta,
"The younger generation" has had no problem getting marijuana on the street for a couple of generations now. The destigmatization of the drug that will come with decriminalization will have the effect of removing some of the allure with time, and it will absolutely remove a lot of the risk associated with buying illegal drugs.
I'm not sure why the current potency of the drug is used as an argument against decriminalization; there is still no danger of overdose death or injury, or physical dependence.

Relative to alcohol and opiod painkillers, marijuana is very safe.

You lost all credibility after your first endorsement of the Marijuana proposition.

Re: “Editor's Note

Let's not be naïve. Politics is, by its very nature, corrupt. It always has been and always will be. The most effective President will be the one who can best game the system.

Re: “Tucson Salvage

Nice to see Tony mentioned in the last paragraph. I live around Broadway and Craycroft and buy groceries at the Wal Mart there at 22nd. Tony has been a daily fixture at that shopping center for years. He never asks for money, never talks to anyone unless they talk first, but graciously accepts food whenever I offer. He is way too skinny; if you run into him, give him something to eat.

Re: “Creative Community

"Ex-Arizonan is a Troll hypocrite" is a maroon. (Thanks Bugs!)

I'm sure that he meant that I am the hypocrite and the troll, but, just like your average troll, this troll didn't bother to pay enough attention or read what was typed properly. Comments like this only back everything I have typed right up. Par for the course. Believe me, I'm not surprised.

I'd call this troll a fucking idiot, but TW just might remove my comment. Although, I have made several requests to have the "Ex-Arizonan is a Troll hypocrite" comment removed...and guess what? It is still there as I'm typing this. (Sad!)

It makes me TW not paying attention or do they actually support this obvious misinformation? Sometimes I wonder. If the Webmaster is on vacation, you need someone to carry that weight when they're away.

I understand if this comment gets removed. What I will not understand is if this comment gets removed and the "Ex-Arizonan is a Troll hypocrite" comment doesn't get removed along with it.

P.S. Ex-Arizonan, you are definitely not a troll.

Fuck All Trolls!

Most sincerely, DC

Re: “The Skinny

Too bad the “Old West” we live in today doesn’t have that Hollywood standard for telling the good guys from the bad guys – white hats and black hats – because for the past few years finding a white hat-wearing guy or gal in Arizona politics is like finding Doug Douchy at a Mensa meeting.

Re: “Editor's Note

Hillary must have been born under a lucky star. Handed the opportunity to run against the single most preposterous Republican candidate in our history, it looks as if she might scrape through to victory on the reality behind the reality star, Trump is Mencken's imbecile and a deviant to boot.

Watching the final debate last night I watched Clinton repeatedly freeze when questioned or attacked on her dismal performance as Secretary of State and on the family profiteering under the auspices of the Bonnie and Clyde Global Initiative. And no, I haven't forgotten about the "damn emails." With every new leak I realize exactly how corrupt she and her gang truly are but I guess that's what the meaning of "quid pro quo" is (sort of like what the meaning of "is" is).

Re: “Editor's Note

It has nothing to do with the fact that HRC is a woman. It has to do with the fact that she is a better (although not the greatest) choice than an egotistical, xenophobic, racist, misogynist, accused child raping hothead.

It's already a fact though. Chump's gonna lose. Stock up on the Blue Bunny and facial tissue, because you and all the other Chump lovers are gonna need it.

Crying shame. (Not really.)

Re: “Editor's Note

Said like a true confusionist. Hillary has dedicated her life to public service? She has dedicated her life to her bank account from cattle futures to the Clinton Foundation. She consistently lies and cheats. Without repurcussion.

But hey, she's a woman. Maybe next time we can raise our standards but for now we will drag the bottom of the barrel. If she wins can she avoid prosecution for four years? Hard to say.

The current members of the Commission ran on the slogan, "Do YOU want to pay HIGHER utility bills?" Evidently a vote for them meant a vote "YES!". Arizona has the best politicians money can buy.

Re: “Hell Yes! The 2016 Tucson Weekly Endorsements

Prop 205: The Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act SHOULD BE REJECTED by the Voters of Arizona!

The "Medical Marijuana" of today is NOT like the Marijuana used in the 70's and 80's. Through Artificial Selection Experiments, strains of Marijuana have been developed by the Marijuana Drug Industry that substantially increase the potency of the Drug. As such, its' use poses serious potential consequences.

While this Drug is effective in treating some medical conditions; Muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis, Nausea from cancer chemotherapy, Poor appetite and weight loss caused by chronic illness, such as HIV, or nerve pain, Seizure disorders (childhood epilepsy), and Crohn's disease. Purified extracts from whole-plant marijuana can slow the growth of cancer cells from one of the most serious types of brain tumors.

Research in mice showed that treatment with purified extracts of THC and CBD, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation (Scott KA, Dalgleish AG, Liu WM. The combination of cannabidiol and ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol enhances the anticancer effects of radiation in an orthotopic murine glioma model. Mol Cancer Ther. 2014;13(12):2955-67.)

Scientists are also conducting preclinical and clinical trials with marijuana and its extracts to treat numerous diseases and conditions, such as the following:

1. Autoimmune diseases (diseases that weaken the immune system): HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis (MS), which causes gradual loss of muscle control

2. Alzheimer’s disease, which causes loss of brain function, affecting memory, thinking, and behavior
6.Substance use disorders
7.Mental disorders

The FDA has not recognized or approved the marijuana plant as medicine.

The Medical Marijuana Program in Arizona is a Big-Money-Making SCAM supported by the Marijuana Drug Industry and their Supporters in the Arizona Legislature!

Marijuana use for Medical purpose should be supported by Scientific evidence, including Clinical Trials, and regulated by the FDA; closely monitored by the tending Physician and State Department of Health."Medical Marijuana" should be available by Prescription only (in a Pharmacy) issued by a License Physician.

Congress should amend the Controlled Substances Act of 1970: Controlled Substances Act (CSA) (21 U.S.C. § 811). making Marijuana available for Medical Treatment.

The major consumers of this Drug, if legalized for so-called recreational purposes, will be the younger generation; destroying the very fabric/future of our Democracy.

This Drug should NOT be legalized for recreational purposes!!!

Very proud to have the endorsement of the Tucson Weekly. I have worked hard to remove partisanship from this election and reach out to ALL people of Pima County. Let's work together to move our County and our Sheriffs Department forward.
