ACLU is a communist organization that should be banned from the US.
This is a great opportunity to get these young and future Americans licensed and insured. It will also open up a number of new travel and economic opportunities for them as well. Good luck Dreamers!
From the CDC website:
Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) represent approximately 2% of the United States population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV. In 2010, young gay and bisexual men (aged 13-24 years) accounted for 72% of new HIV infections among all persons aged 13 to 24, and 30% of new infections among all gay and bisexual men. At the end of 2011, an estimated 500,022 (57%) persons living with an HIV diagnosis in the United States were gay and bisexual men, or gay and bisexual men who also inject drugs.
Why would someone in their 80s want to keep working at such a high profile, stress filled job? This guy thinks he is better, smarter, and more moral than any other citizen of our state: living the "legacy" into the grave is the way of the egomaniac. He should give someone else the opportunity to serve, hopefully without the partisan grandstanding.
do they ask "straight" people if theyve "slept around"?? I get it that its a MEDICAL thing - but, its the self-admitted behavior NOT the persons sexual orientation..RIGHT?
They don't hand licenses out without passing a written test or a driving test.
Since they offer insurance at more places than they offer licenses, i'm guessing the clogged lines were the internet tubes and phone lines (15 minutes can save you $).
Just curious. Do they have to pass a drivers test ? Or is this some sort of benefit for illegals like WIC, Obama phones, rent assistance , Food Stamps etc ? It isn't clear from the article.
Rick Jason. the rancher who was killed was ROB Krenz. Your errors go way beyond the correct name of a murdered rancher, though.
Your vitriol and hatred are both symbolic and symptomatic of the divisions in this country that I spoke of previously. Stop looking at "libtards" and Mexicans as the cause of your troubles. The people you are being manipulated into hating are actually at the same playing level as you. It is the people who are teaching you this garbage that are the true danger to all of us. Look behind the Fox news logo to where the both the "information" is coming from and where the $$$ is flowing to.
I am out in the desert between Nogales and Arivaca once a week at least. I walk the trails, pick up t debris, and have a good sense of what transpires out there. I do it in the chill of the winter, as well as when it's 105 degrees. I watch the washes fill with water in monsoon. I understand the law, and although I may disagree with it, I understand it and obey it. I haul trash bags of migrant and hunters debris out. There are lots of Bud light large cans of beer out there. Any romance of this situation is quickly dissolved especially on a June or July afternoon. I tend to hike about 3-6 miles a day with water and whatever I can haul out. I don't agree with our laws, but I do abide by them. I understand the drug situation, and do not take or use drugs. But that situation would not exist if our culture didn't lust and hunger for these things, not to mention pay good money for them. How 'bout you? Ever smoke a joint? Ever? If the answer is yes, then you are part of the problem. Many mules face gunpoint to carry drugs over. But drugs will find their way over through tunnels, catapult (read the New York Times story about the cartels catapulting bales of weed over the wall). I'm simply saying crossing ain't easy even if getting over the wall is. EVERYONE wants an easy fix for an extremely complex problem. There is historic, archeological, and anthropological evidence that people have crossed what is now a border for centuries. The wall isn't working or stopping it. A militarized border patrol with the most advanced technology isn't stopping it. There are over 40,000 to 60,000 Border Patrol agents, fully armed working a 2000 mile border. The war on drugs would be laughable if it were not so tragic and lethal for so many on all sides of the issue and the border. Drugs are killing our culture, our future. Sadly if one faces this issue truthfully, it's not just a Mexican problem. You can buy heroin at less expensive costs than a large cappuccino. The toughest sheriff in America isn't getting it done either. He's simply a tax burden to his constituents and exploitive of an easy target.
I respect your ability to write an opinion on this topic especially when you avoid personal and erroneous vindictive. I simply must disagree. I am no angel of mercy. I love this land and country. My take on being liberal is literal. Look it up...it means being generous. If I make a mistake, I hope to make a mistake on the side of being generous, but not stupid or ignorant of issues. Maybe I'll make that mistake someday on I-19 when you or one of your kids has car trouble, and offer you a ride into town. Would that be a mistake?
Yo Ronko, by your own words do you condemn yourself and your ignorance of what the border situation is really like. You try to divert the jist of the convo making yourself just another "Joe Average" accidentally making a mistake when in fact, we are talking about, in the majority of cases, an INTENTIONAL violation of a nation"s laws. Not just one, but as a rulle, several as each of these illegals normally violate several laws when crossing our borders. The illegal crossing is only one of many, as a rule, as they usually have forged papers provided by the cartels that bring them over. Many illegals will mule over drugs in order to pay for their passage. Some times even working for the cartels here in the U.S. in order to pay for their crossing. In the process, they will trespass on private lands where some will resort to theft/burglary of farms, ranches, homes, etc. Do I even need to talk about the more serious crimes like the murder of rancher Ralph Krenz in Az., or the husband and wife that were ski jetting in Tx. on the border, etc. Sometimes they cut down rancher's fences, destroy their water tanks in effort to get a drink, litter our country sides, start forest fires, intentionally and unintentionally, etc., etc., etc. So Ronko do yourself a favor, and not try to act like some angel of mercy, trying to play to all those who would feel so bad for the plight of the illegal, when in fact, you know nothing of the reality!
Rick and Simple Math,
You've never broken a law? Cheated even a wee bit on your taxes, rolled through a stop sign? People who live in glass houses may consider where they throw stones. I was once stranded in Mexico City and a perfect stranger who had much less than I, helped me out. Every been stranded on a dark highway and a samaritan helped you with your car pre cell phone days. My ancestors immigrated without a penny. Pulled themselves up to be good citizens and tax payers. Therefore my soft spot for the underdog. It has nothing to do with hitting a bong, or my boyfriends schlong. For your information, I'm happily married for 40 years to the same woman, and heterosexual. Why must you bring what could be an intelligent conversation to such a base level? I can only deduce that you are not only racist but homophobic also. Get with it, it's soon to be 2015. Your biases left over from antiquity are obsolete, and and are useless in a progressive society.
I said nothing about the law enforcement doing or not doing their job. Most migrants know the dangers they face. If life was a picnic at home for them, they wouldn't risk it all. Would you send your daughter out into the desert? Litigation costs tax payers money, that's all I am saying. Joe Arpiao has lost his fair share of law suits during his tenure as the nation's toughest sheriff. Case closed.
Thanks to Kall for such a level headed comment.
Yo' Justin C, can it be true that there might just be a cure for the disease of Liberalism???
It is a clear reflection of the very sad times we live in when an ex-liberal such as myself is actually happy that a far-right loony tune named Martha McSally won this election. I am so fed up with Illegals and the entitlements and special treatments that the feds are giving them that I am happy about booting out every single politician who goes along with that goal - even if the replacement is a horrible choice.
chicks = trouble
Ronko is the typical libtard mentality. Obey the laws, unless you believe the way I do. Then the laws don't apply.
I guess that is what happens when you are constantly hittin' the bong (or in a lot of the cases, their boyfriends schlong).
The liberal wannabe elitist mentality is to enforce the laws until it comes to them. They are a disgusting culture that has ruined our country. Cockroach dung has a higher rating when it comes to being purposeful.
If you had universal health care, you wouldn't have these problems.
The Forest Service would ban outdoor fires before the EPA would. The ATF has no interest in taking hunting rifles The AR-15 and the AK-47 are not hunting rifles. Neither is the SKS in my collection and I have never harbored the illusion that it is.
Your pitiful view of things that you fear but that have not come close to happening (either with Clinton in the 90's or Obama now) is sad. And it's getting more and more sad watching people like you (or the less rational ones, even) get yourselves all worked up over nothing.
Go hug your kids and tell them that you love them. Play games with them, tell them stories, and be there for them.
Our elected officials have prostituted themselves to every environmental organization, or corporate entity, that they couldn't afford to help average citizens if they wanted to.
They have too many favors to return and paybacks to be made.
Reaction is typical. Hide your head in the sand.
And now they decide to attack the police, because it's all they've got left. These officers are our friends and neighbors. Most live in the community they work in.
Please register to vote and educate yourselves on the issues. Don't do what the networks tell you to do. Have a genuine thought.
At the end of the day it is a question of which party mobilizes its loyal members to get out and vote that decides the election. With over a third of voters choosing neither the Democrats or Republicans as their political home- independent voters become increasingly a deciding vote in our elections. But I won't be surprised to learn, when the dust settles, that independents did not show up in significant number in these past midterms either. Like Ldonyo implies, in a plutocracy voting becomes largely irrelevant and voters come to understand their place - dead last.
Take a look at the Democrats (Ron Barber included) who voted for Cromnibus and threw their constituents under the bus. Yes the government is for sale and it doesn't matter if you identify with one or the other political crime syndicates, they are essentially the same.
Any lines to buy insurance? Seems like there should be.
