Re: “Lingering Issues

I got a DUI- simple DUI, no accident, was not pulled over, had a clear MVD, etc. It has 'ruined' my life. Pot is illegal, a federal crime, regardless of the MMJ laws here and there. So why wouldn't should THEY get a DUI, if it is found in their blood? Why is it OK that my life is RUINED from a DUI, when I was not even impaired? Fine to pick and choose your battles, too bad your battles are particular to people that have an ILLEGAL drug in their body, also called 'in possession of a controlled substance'. NO pity from me.

Re: “Members Only

Check out Purplemed at the Howard Johnsons on the Freeway access road. Very professional, nice environment, lots of strains, including "top self" for a premium price. Owned by local guys. Just opened May 1st so I didn't expect much but I was very impressed.

Is Tumbleweeds a compassionate provider, or however that is put?

Re: “Members Only

"My girls" have the only place I'd ever go in Tucson. Tumbleweeds is unique warm and offers an excellent education for those new to cannabis.

Re: “The Numbers Game

I am bothered by the license requirement, the governments fondness of licenses is long standing. If licenses can be required for MMJ can it be too long before insulin, tyroid and cancer drugs seem too good to exempt from taxing ehh that is licensing. What choice do these patients have, buy a license for your drugs or die. Far too easy a target for cash strapped bureaucrats to resist.

Re: “The Numbers Game

Is it any suprise that the patient number is low when the cost from AtoZ (that was humor) is so high? Who is allowing the State to charge 150.00 for a MMJ card.Who really wants to pay 10.00 a "joint".This is after you shelled out another 150.00 to a doctor. What is with this scheme tying the MMJ program to the Food Stamp program? (you get 75.00 off if you get Food Stamps).I do not know if you still get the 75.00 off if your Food Stamp application is rejected. The problem is very clear. The cost of the program is just too much for people to bear.I tried to get the fee waived for low income disabled people but they quit answering my emails.I am one of those "chronic pain" people.I recieved osteomyelitis from the operating room at St, Marys hospital and a suregon had to cut away a lot of my neck and back (osteomyelitis is MRSA of the bones,in the case of an adult it commonly attacks the vertebre of the spine). At least St Marys could spring for the cost of my MMJ card.

Re: “Discreet Dispensary

Also the fact that they do not give me a receipt after my purchase. I have gone there about 5 or 6 times since it opened to get meds and I never get a receipt!

Re: “What's in Your Weed?

Tht's one of the benefits of getting your cannabis from the dispensary. They list the strains they have and the THC levels of each strain listed too.

Re: “Dispensary Delay

The cost has always been the elephant in the room. Even $10/gram is a lot to pay, more than many could afford very often or at all. Anyone who's had the pleasure of growing their own outdoors for the small cost of watering and soil prep, would smile, possibly laugh, or maybe get angry. Alas, that simple freedom to garden is not recognized by Arizona legislators or the law as it stands. Growing legally is costly, confined and distant. Growing illegally in your yard is very inexpensive, but risky and subject to severe penalty. You'd think the stuff was radioactive.

Re: “Like Butter

What a shame that you went from veganism back to eating animal products.

I'd like to try the cannabis oil using olive oil or coconut oil. It sounds very delicious.

Re: “Lackluster Lawmaking

As long as people keep looking to governments to license their natural rights, they will lose them all. Therefore, it follows that governments are the biggest threats to our civil rights rather than their existing to protect them as was their original purpose; ignore the legislatures and their lackeys and destroy them if they act to oppress you. Anything less is complicity in and capitulation to their tyranny.

Re: “Lackluster Lawmaking

What they are doing is against the voters of Arizona, does that not count?

Re: “Lackluster Lawmaking

Funny thing is mj is still illegal under federal law. It really doesn't matter what the voters want until they can find a way to legalize mj at the federal level, then the states can't do anything about it.

Re: “Lackluster Lawmaking

Yes. All the important stuff going on. The budget hasn't come up yet. Neither has the tax policy issue. The only one I like is the HCR1007 about the Cherrybell Post Office closing. So we're stuck talking about these inane bills Like the one banning me from using the empty men's room if the woman's room is occupied, even though they are identical. WTF? Who cares? I get a misdemeanor for that? Seriously. These people go too far. But they assign bills like texting while driving to three committees so it will die (I believe that was one of them) just to nick Steve Farley. It's an important issue.

The important issues get tripled in committee and the stupid crap makes it to the floor so that's what we hear and read about. So until the budget and tax proposal come out, get used to this drivel.

Re: “Lackluster Lawmaking

Just like a journalist. All the important stuff going on and the only thing you can think about is where you are going to get your next hit. Maybe that is why somepeople think it should be outlawed.

Get high, have a blast, medicade and medicare will take care of you.

Don't blame the legislators folks. Blame the ignorant and corrupt population of Arizona who elect these morons in election after election.

Re: “Simple and Tasteful

How about do they list THC vs. other cannabinoid content like CBD? Its like the milligrams of medicine of a pill container or the alcohol percentage on beer! Many people want to know this J.M. Smith. Why can't you ever talk about it and if the dispensaries have it or plan to. I don't want 25% THC to .001% CBD in my cannabis. And it isn't just as easy as saying, "Oh you need Indica instead of Sativa." Come on!

*Smoking* Cannabis has controlled my asthma since 1968. Look up the TASHKIN STUDY and stop worrying about it. Seriously.

Re: “Tales of Tinctures

And another thing...if it's any relief, I recommend firing it up with a magnifying glass. Bypasses all that butane taste so you get a more 'natural' flavor. Fair warning though, use welders goggles when you do it or you'll blind yourself for 45 minutes. 3 pairs of sunglasses all on at once will do in a pinch.
