Just another Tucson citizen out of his mind.
It's him or Glenn Beck but I think Glenn Beck knows something about sports
@franklymydears - I agree totally with your comment about Nancy Young Wright. I'm in District 1 and I definitely voted for Ms. Wright. She has had a solid record as the President of the Amphitheater School board and subsequently as a state representative. Her credentials were impeccable to be a County Supervisor. Unfortunately, many of the voters in District 1 are "Tea Party" nutz jobs and they obviously voted Ally Miller into her office.
This is just sad. She seems to have emotional issues, and never should have run for political office. I hope she gets help.
While it certainly appears Miller is quite a wack job, spending any money on the NEW pristine section of River between Campbell and Dodge while other major arterial roads fall apart is equally wacko.
Dan, can you be a voice for the voiceless. Pre-borns are in fact humans
...even the US supreme court has indicated this fact.
We need voices for the voiceless. Please, thank you, Good Luck.
@Hannah Gomez-- I overheard a sales person at the Nook counter in my Barnes & Noble tell a potential customer that if she needed help with learning how to use the Nook, or had technical issues, she could just go to any public library, where the staff would help her figure it out. Pretty slick for B&N! Just outsource your technical support to the public library at no cost to yourself! Apropos to this discussion, this is just another example of how a myriad of people and institutions expect to extract all kinds of support and services from the library but generally don't want to pay for them. HB 2379 is either a misguided attempt to get a rein on government spending or a conscious effort to kill the library. Either way, it's bad legislation.
Just a reminder...
" Chris Horquilla " (post #1) is the moniker used by the Rosemont Mine shill who was a prolific pro-mine poster at The Daily Star prior to their changing to Facebook comments.
From the article:
"She (Miller) is the only supervisor to support the proposed Rosemont copper mine."
A caveat regarding the description of District 1. It includes just a western fraction of the Tanque Verde Valley. Those who voted Ms. Miller into office were nothing if not naive. So much for Miller's constituents being affluent, educated et al. I live further east in the valley and am ably represented by Ray Carroll. Wouldn't Nancy Young Wright have been a marvelous Supervisor? Bright, concerned, experienced, works well with others, etc. And nothing in Ally's record as of the 2012 campaign would have led any astute observer to think the same of her.
@BogMann - we all pay taxes, we all drive on roads all over town. The roads most travelled that are in the most disrepair should be fixed first, regardless of some arbitrary district line.
Looks like we have our own little Sarah Palin Jr. Who voted for this whack job?
Just went to that website "allsports tucson" Looks better than the Star!! Think I will be going there a lot. Goodbye Hansen.
Reminds me of the way I (and nearly all employees in my situation - many years' senority and earning a decent wage) - were summarily "let go" in the Spring of 2009. Our work product was not in question.......our salaries were. The company then hired some very inexperienced people at a greatly reduced salary to replace us. Well, the company eventually went out of business due, in part I am sure, to all their cost-cutting measures and now not only are we still unemployed, but our replacements working for pennies are unemployed also. It seems to me that that is no way to run a business but the companies keep trying with the expectation that cheaper is better. And they all tumbled into the ditch!
She reminds me of a spoiled athlete that will not talk to her coaches or fellow players about any issues she has with them, but instead talks to reporters and posts on Facebook and Twitter about all her woes, real and imagined.
Why do the Repuglicans believe that it is their God-given right to interfere with womens health subjects? If they haven't got anything else to do (other than trying to defund Obamacare) or any causes to champion (that are truely worth their effort), they should sit down, shut up, and stop trying to institute rules and regulations over things that are of no concern to them. Better yet, just resign and let the democratic process take care of anything they think is amiss.
"...people of good faith..." Just what are you really saying, Tobin?
"She co-founded the Pima County Tea Party Patriots and launched an effort to recall Bronson that went nowhere." Quote from the Weekly story. This explains the problem, she is a Tea Party person. Good reporting Weekly.
I look forward to the time when this type of announcement is no longer news. It really should not concern anyone but the individuals themselves.
@Jesse - she's the one.
