Inconvenient truth. Hence, the trolls are strangely quiet.

Re: “Danehy

While this particular columnist appears to have a problem with Doug, I can speak only of his integrity and character. I grew up in the same house with him, and he's been a born leader all of his life. I'm not much into politics myself, but I do know that Doug won't have to spend anytime or energy apologizing for behavior that so many of our National leaders have to do daily. He was an awesome role model all through growing up and into college and beyond. My parents divorced when Doug and I were young, and he was the most important influence in my life. He married his college sweetheart, is in the process of raising three incredible boys, and is an avid father and husband. I'm always amazed every time my family visits Doug, to see the values he instills in his boys, and the way he treats his wife. I realize this columnist needs to sell papers, but I'd ask him to get to know Doug before he continues with his rants. He is a great man, and I'm proud to call him my brother. I realize I have a biased opinion of Doug, but those who know him best would say the same. Best of luck to all the candidates in November, but I'm pulling for Doug. Regards-Nick Ducey

Re: “Editor's Note

You only want writers that you can control. You dont want the real truth, you want your slant. Why not be honest and clear. Oh, what does that mean?

Re: “Adventures in Edibles

With the human track record of overindulgence, I hope these attractive, appealing, yummy treats are very moderately dosed so that eating a few won't cause more unpleasant Maureen Dowd overdose experiences.

Re: “Adventures in Edibles

This is very nice to have this option I know smoking can have risks and a social stigma. I was at the Apothecary and they showed me the Hot Sauce/ However I was looking for a particular strain I guess infused edibles are not really strain specific or phenol directed. Perhaps it might be the manufactured products are the edible, honey stick, Gummy Bears, Soda, Cookies, strain specific? When I have gone this has not been the case. I see the market driven how much THC just read above, I look for CBD or CBN .

Well in my 60 years on earth have shown me one thing it is not up to somebody else it is up to me. I have been on the outside I tried to come inside out of the heat and cold only to be told there is no room for you here come back we might have something later. I know where comfort is thanks.

Re: “Danehy

Face it folks, Arizona Republicans will vote for whoever proves that he/she hates the Black President and Brown People the most as this reflects their "values"

Shameful, isn't it?

Re: “Dispensary Dilligence

The Downtown Dispensary offers zero discounts to students. Zero discounts on game-days. There is no point or reward system to enroll in.

Perhaps the parents that have suffered for years watching their children become debilitated by epileptic seizures or cancer have reached out to a medical professional already? And perhaps offering them a solution is reason enough to stick around and tolerate the stigma of just trying to get people "high"?

The current list of qualifying MEDICAL conditions in the state of AZ is as follows:
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
Hepatitis C
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
Crohn's disease
Agitation of Alzheimer's disease
A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment for a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that causes:
Cachexia or wasting syndrome;
Severe and chronic pain;
Severe nausea;
Seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy;
Severe or persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis

Re: “Danehy

The G.O.P. stole from education? They took away our right to vote and the rights of women? They are on a par with a violent terrorist group? Sam, please take this advice in the spirit in which it is given. Get yourself some professional help.

Re: “Danehy

Sam, I love the picture of the Koala Bear, my picture is of St Philips Island near Melbourne with the "fairy piquins". They march out to sea every morning to feed, then at night to their homes on the Island. Been to Au twice love it. The Aussies are true keepers that honor the environment.

Re: “Danehy

Voters this state has hit the bottom under Republican rule. Look how they stole from education. Look how they have taken away our right to vote. And taken away the rights of women. Republicans are the real ISIS of this state and nation.

Re: “Danehy

What on earth does the Governorship of Arizona have to do with the President?

Re: “Danehy

Tom, you can raise as much of a ruckus about that statue as you want but it's been there longer than most citizens have been in Tucson. It had been there a while before I left and that was 20 years ago. At least you don't live in a place with Confederate statues and the nuts that think they are a symbol of a glorious past.

Re: “Danehy

Some black folks hate George Bush and that's fine. I hate Obummer because of his left-wing Socialist ideas and I'm a racist. Makes perfect sense to me.
President Hillary ? Where have I heard that before?

Re: “Danehy

Americans normally have no problem with a black man (or woman) as President. If Colin Powell had run he would have won.
He would have been the first general at a Democratic Convention or a Black nominee at a Republican Convention.
It's just that we got as the first black as President a guy like Obama.

Re: “Danehy

Donkiyou, sp what. Have any of these canditates openly stated the reason for not liking the president? If not then stating so in an article that is supposrd to be professionally written only makes the remainder of the article equally suspect.

Re: “Danehy

That's true for a lot of people, Harold. But there's simply no denying that a lot of people have a deeply ingrained dislike for black people, and don't believe that a black person is up to the task of being president. Some of those people are in Congress. Others are on television and radio.

Just wait until Hillary Clinton becomes president in January 2017. A lot of these same people don't deal well with women either.

Re: “Danehy

Why all the race baiting? Not liking this president is no different than not liking his predecessor.
