Re: “Season's Readings

Not a published writer… just had an idea, my characters are a bit two dimensional; I could use a bit of help in building the story… I also like Well Written Sensual stories… Not the usual four letter assault on the American Language. One can be just a sensual/sexual with better phrased, animated descriptions of bodily motion than what one gets in the normal porn.
As a challenge, I wrote a poem that uses NO vulgarities, no 4 letter slang, yet it's a real sexy page. Email me and I'll send the poem for your evaluation. Terry

Re: “Made Here

Also please consider patronizing local antique stores. This is an opportunity to find special older items that were likely originally made in the USA, live "green" by recycling & help support local small business owners who own the stores or run their own booths in larger antique malls.

Re: “Dreaming of DVDs?

It's nice that you promote the Blu-Ray format so heartily, but even if the discs are now cheaper and the players are costing less, for some of us the cost of upgrading is way out of reach still, even without upgrading the audio and keeping the HDTV capable TV on the smaller side. In the current economic climatefood and shelter take precedence over bread and circuses from Hollywood, no matter how much extra gets put on a Blu-Ray release as opposed to a DVD (a particularly onerous point with the Star Trek release.)

Then there's the other issue -- DRM. Which on Blu-Ray is frankly onerous, and can deprive you of your player at the whim of any studio. Also, the cheaper players are often feature-limited...and what isn't available is often not clear.

Re: “Stayin' Alive

Wow. Thanks for the list! I am glad that this wasn't just a downtown list like we normally see. I live on the east side and you included many that are near me. I will definitely check them out. Thanks!
