there wasnt really anything written about A.M eyes
they are the only reason im going to club crawl
Agreed. I know it's a few weeks later, but just wanted to let the OPerations staff who put together Fall Club Crawl that they did an amazingly poor job. A total of what, 5 people checking wristbands to let a a few thousand in? It had to have made quite a bit of cash. Couldn't you afford to create 1 or 2 more entrances, paid 3 people to stand at each one and let attendees in?
it was an event that definitely put a black eye on the Tucson scene for me.
I live in L.A. and came back home to Tucson for Club Crawl. What a fiasco. I waited in line for 30 minutes to get a wristband, 45 minutes to get into the area and 10 minutes at least to get into any of the clubs.
So basically I paid $10 to wait in line for nearly 2 hours and see 2 local bands play. Hard to sell the Tucson nightlife with a poorly planned event like that. Kind of mebrassing to say I'm originally from Tucson. Step it up next yr and get a little more organized guys.
I will continue to support the AWESOME local bands around 4th ave and downtown minus Club and Fall Crawl. Tucson's local band scene is the best there is!!! Thank the band gods for CHE'S LOUNGE!!!! They had an amazing band last night called THE MONITORS! They rocked out hard and gave away free CDs! There was no cover at the door (there never is one) and there was no need to wait in a massive line for another damn wrist band!!! The bar was packed (as usual on a Saturday night) and the bartenders kept the drinks flowin all night long! PROPS TO CHE'S for knowing how to do things right! Two thumbs up to BD DOGS across the street from CHE'S for continuing to be THE BEST SONORAN HOT DOG ON EARTH! If it weren't for Che's and BD Dogs, last night would have been a complete loss. Thanks to Che's for having awesome bands play every Saturday, keeping drink prices the same, serving up the tastiest Margaritas in town and never charging a cover! YOU GUYS ROCK! If you were disappointed in Fall Crawl last night too, or experienced it for the first time and said never again!, please don't let that stop you from coming out and supporting our local music scene. Thanks!
Last night was @&^%#%#$%^ up!!!!! The wrist band situation was a mess! Why sell the blue wrist bands ahead of time at Zia and other outlets just to have people wait again in another massive line and tell them they can't get in unless they have a white wrist band too!!!!???? Last night was total B.S.!!! I will never attend another Fall Crawl or Club Crawl again! I don't know who the genius was that changed the system but what an absolute mess last night was. What happened to checking I.D.s at the door??? I missed my favorite band at the Rialto and that was the only reason I bought a f*&%$*# wrist band in the first place! Didn't anyone notice the massive lines at every single venue and say hey, this isn't working. People are standing in long lines. Let's change the system!!!!???? For all they hype Club Crawl got this year, you let the public down.
The Fremonts have played at The Boondocks in the past. They're an excellent blues band and I give them two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Thanks. Things got askew when we did the Web import. They're fixed now.
The names under the photos in the "Congress Outdoor Stage" section are incorrect. The top photo (girl with pool cue) is Betsy Scarinzi of Silverbell - NOT Gentlemen of Monster Island.
And the photo below is definitely not Maggie Golston. Please correct.
