"Food Worthy"???? Really? What does that mean? Tucson has a a lot of talented chefs and restaurateurs already and I don't think the owner of Bianco deeming us "worthy" of having his restaurants here suddenly gives them credibility or makes them any less his equal.
Many years ago it was a restaurant rum by the folks at a local ashram. It was also a Bavarian restaurant. And I think a pizza parlor.
I remember when the Dante's Fire building was actually on fire, in January 1996. Is this what they are naming the restaurant after?
TGIFriday's on Broadway closed on Saturday night.
Going where the French restaurant used to be, facing Tanque Verde.
Here is an update on Ha Long Bay's status; I went for my last meal at this little gem a couple of weeks ago. While giving talking with the staff, I asked there future plans.
He told me they were moving to North East corner of Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon!!!
Heres hoping them all the best on the move and much success.
Penca is very active on Facebook. They post photos of their dishes daily.
Sounds like Penca - a mexican restaurant. It opened a few weeks ago and looks nice but I've yet to try it.
Hi guys... We just noticed something that looks new on E Broadway downtown (right next to O2 fitness, so 188 E Broadway or something like that) that looks like a bar or restaurant... Didn't have time to stop, but do yo uknow what it is?
SonoranWinds: And we are all a bit diminished by this death. . .:)
The Wendy's on Grant near Alvernon has closed.
Brio Tuscan Grille was just too expensive. How often are you going to go to an Italian restaurant and spend $100+ for a dinner for two? In my case, it was just once.
So is the Guadalajara Grill on Wilmot not owned/operated by the same folks doing a booming business on Prince Road?
Go to the Sausage shop on west prince. Jackie reviewed a little while ago. You will find what you are looking for and more.
I stopped by Sausage Deli the 1st day in their new building. By chance I was in the area and recalled having seen it previously reviewed. I grew up on the farm and I was really looking for, well, sausage, real sausage. Smoked, linked, fresh/ground. A variety of some sort. None. Nada. I inquired and I guess they do have a day during the week when there might be a "sausage sandwich speacial." What? The same ol' standard stuff u can buy in the grocery store? Anyway, I turned 'round and left, sorely disappointed. No reason for me to return. Please change your friggin name from "Sausage" to just plain Deli.
So the clown claims to know food. So does the hobo behind HUB.
Woody's isn't coming back, the IBT folks drove that place into the fucking ground. If they think they can find a location Downtown that isn't going to be in some crap hole in the wall where you have to avoid the homeless and/or druggies, they're wrong. Now UA needs to invoke their "eminent domain" clause on Venture-N and get that hellhole shuttered, torn down and obliterated from this city.
I was concerned when it was the Cactus moon as was the administration of the school. When we complained we were told that the bar was grandfathered in. Well now its not. And yeah I am concerned about the New West and gotham clubs were run. Sounds to me like you know the owner and have some vested interest.
The Wildcat's story is from January 10. We must be operating on different calendars.
