He was a wonderful man with an incredible voice. He is and will be missed.
Brian, what a great article, what a life lived.... Adam from Xotics fame. I'll never forget you visiting me in the hospital. I hope to hear the Gents again live some day.
In 1972 Joe Levkowitz sold me my first kingston amp for $30, I thought that was so awesome, decade after decade the Chicago store has always been there to help me and my bands, there managers are great and the Chicago store vibe has always been unique.
Indeed, indeed. See you cats in Seattle next month.
My favorite band and they are coming to play in Tucson! It doesn't get any better than that!
Love the circular peak meter!
A most wonderful time to have been in Tucson. The Talent and Creativity seemed to have exploded raining down and enriching the parched palette of the Pueblo Viejo. Reading the quote from Becky "Bebe" sparked a memory of her contagious soul filled laugh unlike no other. The contributions of Bloat and it's Artists may be unknown to many but for those who were graced with the enjoyment of their Art realize they received a special gift.....

Home grown death. Nice!
Thank you for writing about a Tucson band for once Tucson Weekly. There's lots of good musicians and bands in Tucson lets focus more on helping them. We can build a better Tucson music scene. Instead of writing about who's coming thru town next week maybe write about more local bands. Also indie and folk rock are good but, there are other styles of music.
Invaluable writing - For my two cents , if anyone wants a a form , my kids filled out a sample form here "http://pdf.ac/976OBE"
Linda Ronstadt is not dead! The TW staff has made more printing blunders this year alone then in the last 10 years. Copy editing and fact checking are a thing of the past.
Nice online catch, but the print version still says "the late, great Linda Ronstadt." Not cool!
Bob you ROCK!!! AEROSMITHS ROCKS!!! Love ya man!!!
Wonderful effort and way to be the change you want to see in the world. I am certain it was a great success! 🎉💜🎉
I was one of the young musicians, just starting out that was allowed to put a small sum of money down (I think it was $20) and make payments long ago. I purchased my first bass, a head and a cabinet from them. I eventually went on to play in bands that were on indie and major labels. I got to tour and play shows with bands I listened to and admired growing up. I no longer play in bands, but I still have the head unit they sold me. Thank you Chicago Store!
Man oh man...the stuff they had upstairs in the "attic". Just piles and piles of music stuff. I found my John Lennon style Rickenbacker guitar up there. Still have it. Nice and fixed up.
Love the Chicago Store! They are the spirit of Tucson. I will miss the rafter piled cool stuff, but needs must.
