Sonoran: You're kidding?!?!!

Due to the beer issue, Chow and Noshing took the week off.

Re: “Noshing Around

Nimbus is still brewing beer, and selling it at their tap room as well as wherever locally brewed beer is sold. Go to their website at http://www.nimbusbeer.com/main.htm to learn more.

Re: “Noshing Around

Nimbus Bistro is evidently dead in the water. Last time we were there, it looked like their furniture was being repossessed. Too bad, but fortunately, there is a lot of other good beer in town!

Re: “Noshing Around

It has been brought to my attention that there are new partners for this venture, and not just a restaurant changing it's name to cover up the past. Let's see what Nox will bring to the table.

Hi, where did you hear the Rincon Market is reopening Feb 13? They verified to me they will open mid-March, at the earliest. It is posted on their Facebook page.

Re: “Noshing Around

"A Star is Unborn?" Umi Star had quite a few problems with the Pima County Health inspections. As in, they FAILED multiple times. Not because of their location, but because of poor food handling skills. Jason Anderson should stick to designing lamps. Please alert readers to use caution when dining. The 'restaurateur' is opening up a new location called NOX with the same 'management' team.

SonoranWinds: Thanks, but I did not include that comma. It got messed up in editing. I even double checked my original pieces to make sure that I had not been making that mistake.

The food at the Parish is not particularly inspiring.

Re: “Noshing Around

All I said was that it was popular. I don't think there is much to refute in regards to El Charro's (and even Sir Veza's) popularity.

Re: “Noshing Around

Ray Flores loves to tell people that they should support locally owned restaurants. So now that he is in PHX an VEGAS I wonder if the good people of those cities should also do the same.

Re: “Noshing Around

Ray Flores, owner of El Charro, is not very popular with me and a number of my friends. We don't appreciate that he is publicly on record for support of the ecological disaster in our backyard known as the Rosemont mine. A recent article in The Star revealed that as many as 300,00 trees will be decimated by this abomination so by extension, Flores is pro cutting down all those trees. For what? For his 30 shekels of silver he thinks he'll rake in from a few measly jobs.

Perhaps Flores can move to Vegas and support some scheme to fill in Lake Meade for new housing.

Re: “Noshing Around

totally CJ, people don't understand how hard it is to get restaurants, bars, bookstores whatever to respond. Writing a column weekly is hard work.

Why, thank you Mr. Morgan. I personally think you did a great job, it is definitely harder than one would expect.

Re: “Noshing Around

Adam was my inspiration for trying my hand at this as well. As I can attest he is a hard act to follow but there is no reason not to give C.J. a fair chance. Seems He is doing better than I did.
