Deport all illegals. Raul and Luis should be deported back to Mexico since they don't feel that they are American.

Re: “Rothschild Launches Reelection Campaign

The Democratic process has been prostituted by pandering thieving vote buyers. That was not the intent of the process.

Resume typing at your normal speed. It made no difference.

Re: “Hey, Diane Douglas Wants to Listen to Your State-of-Education Woes

I have the vague feeling that this fault finding tour will result in a written report that may already be outlined - no matter what is actually said. Discussions may ramble and rumble, as many do when parents and taxpayers and educators have their say, but beware the agenda for change that gathers data and then broadcasts the agenda as foreseen.

Re: “Medical Pot Researcher Sue Sisley Will Be on CNN's Weed Show Sunday

the US dept of Health and Human Services holds patent # 6630507 for the medical uses of cannabis. that is only one small part of the government's hypocrisy.

I'll type slowly so you can follow along, Rat. Why do you hate the democratic process?

Re: “The Fight to Save Oak Flat Comes to Tucson

I reread this a couple of times.. and see no mention of Christianity. Are you suggesting that Liberals would not be opposed to an open pit mine in Jerusalem? I think I would be that consistent..

Re: “Medical Pot Researcher Sue Sisley Will Be on CNN's Weed Show Sunday

It's a shame that the powers-that-be at the UofA didn't fight for Sue Sisley's important research to stay here in Tucson - and if fact, tried to take it away from her. A lot of lip-service is given to the University's new strategic plan with the focus on research and this would have been a huge national feather in the cap. Instead, we have a bunch of high paid figureheads playing it safe and cowering to one or two nuts in the state legislature instead of fighting for one of the things that make this University great.

Re: “Where's the Best Ice Cream in Tucson?

Regarding gelato, I absolutely love Gelato Classico, but you can't buy it in Tucson anymore. It used to be available at Safeway, but they no longer carry it. I've had to order it from Amazon several times over the last five years or so, costing me about $45 for a six-pack of pints, half Vanilla Bean and half Dark Chocolate, and I DO mean DARK chocolate. Every time I order it, I always leave a comment about how ridiculous it is that their products can't be found in the desert. It just seems ludicrous. The thing is, I'm getting ready to order another six-pack, and YES, it's that good. I've tried Frost, Talenti and some others. In my humble opinion, they can't even come close to Gelato Classico. I wish I could somehow rattle these folks' cage enough to get them to find some other outlets in Tucson.

Re: “The Fight to Save Oak Flat Comes to Tucson

I strongly support the Apache's right to protect land they love.

But it always cracks me up how liberal types dislike the Christian religion but get all moony-eyed over old tribal religions. Be consistent. Religion is religion. The earth was no more created by God in seven days, than by the Creator and his helpers.

Re: “Rothschild Launches Reelection Campaign

There's not much you can offer when idiots keep electing idiots.

Downtown revitalization doesn't fix Tucson. It just brings those $8 per hour jobs that the left hates.

Tucson? Meet yourself.

Work two jobs. Is everybody this stupid and lazy? Where did we go wrong? Government assistance has weakened the gene pool.

Thank God they're not yet really 99%. They just want you to think they are.

Re: “Fight for $15 Protest: Is It Really That Painful to Give Workers a Livable Wage?

Dear Old Pueblo Independent,

You wrote in part, " They do not employees there to work 40 hours or more, they can't make more money unless they take an additional job."

This sentence is an argument why you need to get a decent education and then, maybe then, with some work experience, you might be worth $15/hour.

Re: “Fight for $15 Protest: Is It Really That Painful to Give Workers a Livable Wage?

If everyone had free Health Insurance, all Americans or legal residents, we would all be better off as a country.

$15 an hour isn't the problem. The fast food companies are not honorable and have absolutely no loyalty to the United States. They do not employees there to work 40 hours or more, they can't make more money unless they take an additional job. Even if they want to work harder (more hours) they can't.

All this because they do not want to chip in and share the responsibility of healthcare in our country.

15 x 24 x 52 = $18 720. That is pre-taxes. Have some empathy for your fellow Americans.

Re: “Where's the Best Ice Cream in Tucson?

An occasional scoop from the Hub for me. For Custard I prefer Culvers, for Gelato - I don't like the expensive prices here in town, so I just pick up some Talenti when it is on sale - it is the best.
