Best Bagel is in the print edition but not on the website. Would be nice to have it here.
Where's The Best Sporting Goods Store? I've seen it in the past and always look for this issue to see who it is this year.
Why is there not a category for the Best Local Listener Supported Radio Station in So. Arizona - KXCI ?
When will 2014 results be released? We voted months ago.
Since BOT 2014 isn't done, I'm trying to look up BOT results 2013, and all I get is the intro. Where are the results? I'm having a hard time finding them.
How can Lotus Garden not be one of the best Chinese restaurants???
That dirty dive joint Guillen gets votes every year for their cheap mediocre food.
I just looked at the voting list, you folks are unreal, "Best sex toy shop"??? Oh brother.
Waiting in line to see John Densmore (The Doors) at Zia Records gave me a Best of Tucson moment. The crowd was a Tucson mix of young, older and unique...all interesting. There with my 16 year old daughter and 20 year old son, we met a woman who's most memorable quote was, "How do you make music without heroine?" She was with Cheyenne, her dog, and in the span of about 20 minutes, Cheyenne jumped on a woman in front of us, pulled a Christmas card out of another woman's purse, chewed on the buckles on my bag and tried to eat the tassels on my daughter's shoes...but Cheyenne was friendly. Behind her was Michael, the "chillest" dude ever, hipster behind him, etc. When it came to enter Zia, there was some concern from staff about the dog, so Michael suggested saving her place so she could place Cheyenne in the car. The woman's responded the dog could be stolen and there were reassurances all around regarding the unlikelihood of that...Michael almost prevailed until my daughter described a story she'd heard of stolen pugs being used as bait dogs...the dog remained and it was okay. The best of Tucson is not always in its places but its people like Michael and Zia staff who treat others with dignity and respect. It's not the first time I've seen it but every time I do I know I'm witnessing the best of Tucson.
Where is this list?
I never even got an email to vote. Very Unfair practices to not email subscribers-especially when they travel and have no access to paper.
@Tucson Kid: September 26.
Are they going to announce 2013 winners yet??
"Best Beer Selection" should have three categories: draft, bottle and most importantly local.
"Best Local Brew" would also be a good category now that we have so many breweries in town.
I'd like to nominate a category for the times and for the current local economy:
Best Places to recycle, pawn, sell or exchange goods and services.
You would think with 20,000 motorcycle riders in Southern Arizona you would find room for two or three catogories like: best Harey shop, best sport bike shops, best clothing and gear store. KI know of several weeklies in California that have these catagories in their "Best of" polls. Tucson is one of the best places to own a motorcycle in the US and over 15 business serve this community. Perhaps a bit more relevant that catagories like "Best Remodeled Greasy Spoon".
I have been going to Lotus Garden for years an have always reeceived good service and good food.Have gone their with my wife, and with parties of 12 and still received the same good service
Could we get a Best Computer repair shop in TUCSON Category? Thanks :)
I really wish there was a category for personal trainers and small locally-owned gyms. Why should a conglomerate big box even be included as a Best of Tucson category? At the very least, Tucson's best personal trainer or something like that, to recognize the small privately owned facilities that are getting and keeping Tucson healthy!
