Thank you Tucson for voting us #1. We love our Karaoke friends and a big hug for all our fantastic KJ's from Y Not Entertainment. If you haven't been here yet...we hope you'll come out and play with us on Thurs, Fri and Sat nights from 9pm - 2am. You guys rock!
You might want to order in some copies of the novel, Ghost Orchid by D. K. Christi with a beautiful picture of a ghost orchid on the cover and the mystery of ghost orchids within. dkchristi.com
Dante's Fire has great food at night too.
How on earth did Barrio win this thing!? And Nimbus in 2nd?! REALLY!? I mean I like Tucson Blonde and Dirty Guera/Monkey Shine and they are certainly deeply entrenched into hearts/minds of Tucson's beer drinking community but for quality they leave a lot to be desired. Among my beer brewing friends Dragoon comes in at 1st, followed by ten fifty-five, and Iron John's. Then again, for the brew-pub experience (food and bar games) you really can't beat the atmosphere of Barrio and Nimbus. Maybe that is why they came out on top?
Are any of these places wheelchair accessible. The New Moon was a pain cause I had to be with someone to get someone to open the back door right into the crowd by the dance floor.
The Avocado Martini at Harvest is awesome! And the food is awesome as well! My husband & I enjoy Harvest at least once a week. The specials are a nice addition to the regular menu.
All of the contents you described in submit are far too good and can be pretty handy. I will keep it in your mind, thanks for sharing the knowledge Jimmy Choo Shoes retain updating, wanting forward for additional posts. http://www.jimmychooaushop.com/
I am thankful that the local guys are still beating out Total Wine. But You should all try another Local place. Wine Depot, Tucson's only wine importer. Not only local but they also have the best wine.
AND, it's a great place for performers! It's the closest thing to a coffee house I've seen since the Ashgrove in L.A. It's intimate like McCabes in Santa Monica. I love the place to go hear music, and am honored to have performed there, as well! --- Jo Wilkinson
HELLZ YEAHZ! DANA IS DA' BOMB.COM!
I took my boyfriend out for his birthday last Saturday, and we were blown away by the Karaoke D J @ Famous Sams on Grant & Silverbell...not only could this guy keep his audience captivated for nearly 4 hours, but he was funny, witty, and extremely friendly & cordial...don't miss seeing ( and hearing) Tommy Hawke as he does his thing every Sat. and Thurs. night from 9 pm until closing...you're in for a real treat...
Woody's is also a nice little place. Friendly people, decent bar food.
This is my new favorite wine bar/restaurant!!! :) Love it!
The Shelter is not a dive; its merely a place to avoid the college assholes and hipster dufuses that plague the downtown/4th Ave areas. The Shelter never has a cover, never has karaoke and the bartenders know how to pour a manhattan properly. A little kitsch on the walls doesn't necessarily make for a dive, and if you disagree with me, you are probably just a dickless lizard anyway and you ought to stay away from the best bar on the planet.
Great shoppe for great wines reasonably priced. Fun place to meet new wine lovers at the themed wine tastings. I belong to her wine club so I get 2 different wines the first of each month that I look forward to tasting. So far there have been some real winners. You owe it to yourself to stop by her shoppe. You'll be glad you did. Sue
I am a big fan of the World Sports Grille. Glad to see it recognized by Tucson Weekly as the Best Sports Bar.
I love to stop by on my own or meet friends for a tasting, a glass of one of the tastings or an entire bottle. Refrigerated case & pantry includes picnic snacks so I don't have to drink on an empty stomach, though Yvonne does offer some complimentary cheese & crackers as palate cleansers. Friendly clientele makes everyone and their dog feel welcome.
YAYYYYAYYYYAYYYYAYYYYY Yvonne & CataVinos! You are indeed the very best of Tucson!
Since your choice of 58º didn't quite work out, I'll continue to go to Cata Vinos. Excellent choices for tasting. Great wines which aren't as expensive but are just as good as those other places!
