I agree I would love to know how to make these wonderful refreshing drinks!!I grew up in Tucson and now live in Oregon and I would love to be able to make these myself since there is no way to get them here!!! Does anyone have any ideas??

If you read the article, it tells you what the drink is made of. Sugar, water, and natural fruit juices. That's a pretty small list of ingredients.
Does the egees drink contain aspartame of any kind ? Does anyone have the answer.
Responding to Featherkittie, Eegee's IS GLUTEN FREE!!!!! My wife, who has Chrone's disease and is gluten AND lactose intolerant, CAN and DOES have Eegee's all the time.
All of Eegee's slushies are free of gluten. Thought you would want to know.

I have to agree with the other person posting about the ingrediants of these drinks. Yesterday I wanted to purchase one at the Sonoita horse races when all around me were raving over them, however the people selling had no idea, although they were wonderful about trying to offer an answer. I have been searching on here since I returned home yesterday, even wrote an email on the Eegee's website, and cannot find out if they are gluten free.
I'm so happy to hear that somebody is finally going to bring Khortytsa to the United States. I still have a bottle of Khortytsa Platinum I'm milking that I brought with me from the Republic of Georgia. I truly cherrish it and only take a shot of it on very special occasions. If I was able to go to the liquor store and pick up bottles of Khortytsa it would be like walking into heaven. I hope that it takes off and and knocks smirnoff and the other "popular" vodkas down a peg or two. Hands down best vodka I have ever tasted and THE best for straight shots.

Adam, the title makes me feel old. Once upon a time I lived on a farm where we were
organic and mostly sustainable. We grew most of our food, traded for other stuff, tapped maple trees for syrup, milked goats, raised chickens for eggs only, I even sewed stuff (not very well mind you.) but now when I hear the terms organic and sustainable I have to laugh, I think it's great but really nothing new. Of course, I don't live that way now. I'm a little lazy these days.

As one of the people who started the Food Conspiracy I am glad to see it is still thriving. It has come a long way from out weekend gathering of grocery lists and purchasing in bulk for distribution.

I loved Vince's when I lived in Tucson in the 80s. The food was wonderful. I love to read articles like this. It's great to relive the past with great food from places like Vince's and The Big A.
There is a reason why these restaurants are now closed. Maybe people's expectations for good food are a little higher. I went to some of these restaurants and the food quality was real bad. I am Italian and know the difference. None of these places had decent food and I am glad they are no longer around
Great to know about this farm. I don't usually digest milk well, but years ago I had access to raw milk and not only did it taste much better to me, I had no difficulty digesting it.
Got a message on my Facebook page from the folks at Michelangelo's, that wonderful Italian place on Magee Road near Oracle Road.
They noted that when Damiano's closed in 1985 (like Da Vinici's someone bought the name) the opened their present restaurant thereby continuing the Damiano Ali family business.
Deadlines and word count prevented mention of this info in my article. It was by no means in any way an intentional omission.
It's nice to know the family tradition continues.
Baronetta! Honey, you really need that operation to have the stick removed. Loved the article, as I loved many the late restaurants mentioned on the list. Yeah, guess I'm old and been in Tucson too long. Damn right! Baronetta, move to Phoenix!
