PBS's Channel 6 KUAT is by far the best local Tucson Station!
"Dry responses" Most definitely, she is amazing. Best thing to happen to KFMA since Love Line
This definitely should have been for the Thomas Wilson DUI rap.
It is a shame that a contest you run, you turn around and demean, not only the winner, but his listeners
Congrats to all the good folks at Zia! They really are the best.
Compared to that screeching woman who sells flooring and thinks she can sing, or the guy in the goofy super hero costume selling dishwashers, or the evil word 'folks' spewing out from the car dealer who owns a dealership for every known make of car... THOSE are the real nasty commercials. I'll take the truck ad any day over those others!
"...hosts laughing fakely at each other's jokes."
Could this be a veiled reference about Tic-Tac of The Ignoramus Frank Show?
It has to be, right?
Thanks so much- I've been hearing from new fans in Tucson, and appreciate that all of you are watching us!
The #1 radio show host, in Liberal County, Az., is a Conservative talk show host. Kind of makes you wonder where the rest of the voters are getting their information, or I should have asked, "Are the rest of voters getting informed?"
I just wish they'd stop talking and play music. We were spoiled in 2011 and 2012. Now I'm back to KHYT classic rock on my way to work.
Yes! Thanks !!! Nice award for Lou! .....being his Dad, of course I am biased too, but I know he enjoyed is time in Tucson! ..... and his family enjoyed the area too!!!!
Scooby didn't make it there with his Mystery Machine, but he would have loved it too! www.realmysterymachine.com
I agree! I've visited Heroes & Villains several times and gotten great recommendations, and their special ordering service works well, too. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks, Heroes & Villains. :)
Great film about a great radio station. R Dub has been and continues to be a driven, authentic, 100% solid Radio personality w a vision. Thank you R Dub for this film. Thank you for bringing back so many great memories.
Ron (Ronnie z the z man) Reiner
Wednesday, October 26, 2011 - Clear Channel laid off possibly hundreds of employees, including the cohost of The Mountain's morning show, Jennie Grabel, who also was an assistant program director for 92.9 FM KWMT.

I remember when Tucson had Power 97.5 that featured R-Dub to take on the always annoying Hot 98. Of course we all know who won that fight, for the worse IMHO. Anyone remember Marion Rosenthal? Funny shit!
Where else are you going to find that critically acclaimed Hitchcock movie you have yet to see? Not on Netflix, Red Box, or definately not lackluster video.
I echo what Rik said. RDub worked his tail off to get this project done for us the Power 1490 team and the great listeners. I'm so proud to be a part of this although a small part happy to be a part nonetheless. Thank you for nominating this film and recognizing RDub and his tireless efforts.
Eric: Each blurb is written by a different writer and those writers are given the freedom to write what they want. I don't know off the top of my head, but I assume the Zinburger piece is written by someone else who happens to have positive feelings about Zinburger while having a negative view of Justice.
Still, in the end, this is supposed to be fun, right? Clearly, Jon has a bunch of fans and good for him, on the other hand, some people really dislike his political bent. I'm sure he doesn't lose sleep over it. Plus, I've listened to his show a few times, and it's not like his tone is always respectful and admiring of everyone and their opinions. This is one item out of 200+ in the Best of Tucson feature. Take a deep breath and move on.
I am honored...I'd like to thank all the little people... ;)
I am having too much fun.
This is a reader choice and not anything an intelligent person would even consider. if you want propaganda, tune into this where they pat each other on the back and lob softball questions at each other. There are other sources of information regarding the debacle going on in TUSD, including the Jon Justice Show, (voted Best Radio Personality by our esteemed intelligent readers) where he is not afraid to tackle the ridiculous antics of the board, students and teachers. When school members are afraid of tough questions, they ignore Jon and instead head over to this dribble.
