The cupcake phenomenom seems to be spreading - there's a cupcake shop opening this week in my small town.

Re: “Noshing Around

Joey Scordato is the king of Italian cuisine once again. If you frequented his fine establishment 8 years ago, it is a return to form. Many old favorites return (Dolce Patricia, Chicken Madeira...) as well as new classics. The service is lightning fast and the food is (Dare I say) better than his brother's at Vivaces. Worth revisiting time and time again.

Re: “Noshing Around

I just have to say the Guiseppe's has become our new home away from home. The food is absolutely delicious; homecooked, fresh, and inexpensive makes this a bi-weekly trip even though we all live on the east side. The cream of asparagus soup is amazing and if you happen to stop in while it's being ran as a special I highly recomend it. Joe Scordato has hit the mark again!

Re: “Noshing Around

Just watched the preview video on the Travel Channel - looks like El Charro is mentioned along with the chimi, so maybe that's the info on that Ray Flores mentioned.

Re: “Noshing Around

I see your point, but in my mind eating duck tongue is no stranger then eating the liver of a duck that's been force fed corn, which we know as the delicacy foie gras.

Re: “Noshing Around

Duck tongues? Who eats that crap?

Re: “Noshing Around

Yes, good use of the word "regurgitation" in reference to many Tucson restaurants....but not Tavolino. The food is good, the owners and staff friendly and accommodating. They made a vegetarian plate with polenta for me and won my loyalty.
I hope you mention them again when they open in the new place the end of March. Glad they are moving even closer to my house.

Re: “Noshing Around

No, I worked this week. Nice use of the word "regurgitation."

Re: “Noshing Around

Wow, Adam! Did you have the week off? Thanks for the regurgitation of all culinary news reported by other sources in town.

Re: “Noshing Around

I've eaten at Sir Veza's a couple times and also enjoyed it. Great value and good food. Two meals, a premium beer (she drank water) including tip for under $20.00. As my dear ol' Dad used to say, "You can't make it for that".

Re: “Noshing Around

I talked with Jon McNamara today and he said they've shifted the hours for the Saturday farm stand to 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., through March. After that the hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
