Haha, I like the joke about REI
Now a bike shop is no longer the only place to find a great bike, you can find one online and have it shipped to your door and assembled in under ten minutes.
When is the Best of being published. I have not seen it yet?
All of the gears are contained inside the rear hub, making shifting smooth and easyHermosa Beach.
The gear system on this cruiser is the Shimano internal3-speed California Bikes.
I agree-Tiffany should not be in this mix. This is a LOCAL Best of -not National. When is the 2011 one coming out? Have not seen it on stands
Tiffany? What? Are you kidding me? You're not NYC, that's where Tiffany should stay at. Tucson is in a beautiful desert surrounded by artisans. There is a much better jewelry store in Tucson than Tiffany. Please....
Awesome store, great staff and owner!
Oh no, im so upset McGuire's jewelers isnt listed here. Its been the favorite of my family and friends (and their families and friends) for over 40 years.
I'm glad to see Stewart Kuper Jewelers made it as a runner up. This is a great place, definitely one of Tucson's best.
Is there an email address for Stewarts Boots?
I am trying to contact them.
many thanks from London
I ventured into this Optical Boutique in the Park Place Mall last week and the frame selection was absolutely out olf this world. They had Gucci,Verace,Chanel and some really beautiful frames. The service was spectacular and they seemed like they really cared about my eyes and eyewear.Try them out you wont be disappointed
Rainbow Jewelers is the best and most honest Jeweler in Tucson Arizona
where are you, your not at the Campbell street store anymore.????
Its great to have a indie bookstore in town that is fun and contemporary. Lots of variety for readers plus a fun combination of gifts and toys. The staff are friendly and very helpful without being pushy. Its nice to know where to go when I don't know what to get for a gift- they always have so many fun options. They also know Tucson and are a great resource for what is happening aroud town or places to eat.
www.ilovefreegle/org is the new UK based network which well over 200 UK former TFN groups have now joined.
Deron apparently took over the TFN idea originally from the firm he worked for - and his totally autocratic attitude is fast becoming his downfall.
No-one is allowed any opinion but himself and (maybe) Nan?
Volunteers were all so keen to make things work under TFN but Beal made it impossible.
FREEGLE is not JUST for UK groups, and I am sure they would be happy to advise any other unhappy TFN groups anywhere.
Serious??? Big 5 is the BEST sporting goods? Sports Non-Authority is the runner up???? There's clearly no reason to look at any other 'best of' categories, if this one is any predictor of how these polls are gonna run.
In fact, Deron's TFN is that unpopular with UK freecyclers that over 800,000 on 180 groups have left Deron's organisation and are now associated under the FREEGLE organision. This mass migration has taken just ten days to accomplish and groups are leaving deron's network on a daily basis.
Why? Because the local Yahoo-based Group Owners co-ordinating the local groups are fed up with the bullying tactics exhibited by senior level TFN management under Deron's direction and TFNs total lack of willingness to allow UK groups the latitude needed to manage their groups efficiently.
The whole UK split was entirely avoidable had Deron Beal, Nan Bixby and the rest of TFN's senior management taken the concerns of the UK leadership seriously.
When grassroots citizenry speak loudly and with one voice, the din can be deafening. In this case, the silence in the UKs former Freecycle corridors is equally so.....
The only credit Deron deserves is the fact that he started the Freecycle network. I complete agree with ReverseGarbage, give credit where it's due. Freecycle has become a corporate overshadow and Deron is all about the money he makes from grants and advertising.
It's the members and volunteers who are keeping stuff out of landfills, not Deron or the rest of the BOD. Deron needs to stop being greedy and power hungry.
ReUseIt is a much better network here in the USA. Grassroots network run by local volunteers.
