Linda Ronstadt is not dead! The TW staff has made more printing blunders this year alone then in the last 10 years. Copy editing and fact checking are a thing of the past.
Nice online catch, but the print version still says "the late, great Linda Ronstadt." Not cool!
I'll be there!
Anything that goes against the AZ gubner but is for women and their right to choose works for me. Thanks for the information. DC
i'm guessing the show is not the 15th and maybe the 25th??
Matt is a gem! His heart and passion for Tucson, and music is gonna be missed deeply. Best of luck Jalph!
Blah blah blah..... Your guys' sound is tighter than most, though.
The only positive things Dylan ever did for music was introduce weed to The Beatles and somehow (?) inspire Jimi Hendrix. If Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seeger or Eric Clapton didn't exist, he might be the most overrated musician of all time.
Best new band around! They will go far!
dope!! thanks for posting a killer event. The producers scene here in Tucson great!
Thanks Heather. Love your gushing!!
I guess that some folks just wont "get it", which is fine of course. What is less ok is the misrepresentation RE fascist overtones etc though.
Hilarious. Except I'm laughing at you the writer, not deafheaven.
Good music from a good dude and it's not adult contemporary! Here's to music that doesn't sound like its from Tucson.
This is the worst review of an upcoming show I've ever read. You seem to have a problem with DG that centers around them being elusive and on their own page, for better or worse. Why that's a negative thing in your eyes I don't really get. But more importantly, whether you love them or hate them--and it'll be one or the other with these guys--this is an article about an upcoming show that some people would likely have attended if you had just given more information about the band and not badmouthed them for subjective reasons.
They showed up. They played for 75 minutes of nonstop fury. They brought it. Enough said. You lose.
we get it troy, you have a girlfriend
I think people put up with it because the search for and the insistence on authenticity becomes a bore. There's a bunch of bands (Sleaford Mods for one example) offering the idea that they're the genuine article, what-you-see-is-what-you-get, all that. They slag off Paul Weller (for other example) for no longer being what-you-see-is-what-you-get. It's a weird kind of stasis and gets dull after about the sixth Youtube hit.
So maybe you-might-not-even-get-to-see-it slippery elusiveness becomes the only game in town. Even if they're no shows in your town. (That last bit just came to me.)
Townes Van Zandt. Don't forget the 'e'.
