Re: “Casa Video Top 10

Jeez Louise! What a trollish comment I made last night. I had a bit too much to drink, and I don't believe that oxycontin I downed helped either. I wish I could take it all back.

CW13, I'm pleasantly surprised that you and your wife are proud to openly call yourselves bigots.

Re: “Ask A Mexican

"Assimilated"? I know brown families who have been here long, long before the whites showed up. Your use of "assimilated" vs. "immigrant" seems disingenuous at best and downright bigoted at worst.

Re: “Prop 205: Let’s Make a Deal

OK, so once again we’re getting someone telling us to go ahead and vote for something that is not perfect, but it’s better than nothing. How soon you forget the Proposition 123 fiasco. Here’s a thought, if the legislators cannot write legislation that is good for the people, then perhaps they need to be FIRED! Sure you have to wait until they are up for re-election, but stop putting people into office that only write legislation for their dark money benefactors.

Yes, my wife and I are voting for Trump. I resent you calling us closet bigots. We are nothing of the sort.

You’re confusing mental illness with poor social skills, racial bigotry, misogyny and inappropriate behavior, you know – an asshole.

Re: “Prop 205: Let’s Make a Deal

The legal act of prop 205 is called " Marijuana Regulation & Taxation" It is just that simple.

It is surprising that the total annually going to education has grown from 40 million to 55 million in just 6 months.

We have The Arizona Political Director for the Marijuana Policy Project, Carlos Alfaro stating what he believes.

I would base my decision to build a new police dept, licensing dept, revenue collection dept, administrative civil court, (with the legal ability to levy fines and liens against property)

ON THIS BAGHDAD BOB'S idea of what might happen not an administrator but a salesman the Joe Isuzu of legislation.

Re: “Remind Me Again, Why Does Arizona Have a Teacher Shortage?

"Frances Perkins" why don't you write under your own name, so we can understand what your actual role in local and state politics is?

You say, "The obsession with Sanchez is a treatable condition. I have broken bread with him at a state meeting. I can confirm he does not have horns growing out of his head."

What a howler. Do you actually think that whatever impression you may have gotten of that miscreant while "breaking bread with him at a state meeting" is relevant, or will persuade anyone who has read your ignorant and prejudiced commentary -- or followed Sanchez's actual track record in office -- for the past several years to think well of him?

But you are right, the "obsession" with Sanchez is treatable: it is treatable by judicious surgery to remove a demonstrably dishonest, incompetent, ignorant, greedy, malfeasant public administrator from the role he has occupied that has allowed him to damage TUSD -- perhaps irreparably at this point -- for the past three years. Many hope to see that surgery performed -- by his own hand or by that of others -- shortly after the November elections take place. One just hopes the patient in which he and his ilk have been growing like a cancer for the past three years will survive the operation.

Re: “Remind Me Again, Why Does Arizona Have a Teacher Shortage?

Wow, I made a sleep walking troll slip. My doucheness is beyond my control. Everyone with a functioning brain knows that it is the GREEDY Old School Conservative White Privileged Sect that controls education in this God Forbidden state. The "illegals" could easily multiply by 10, it still wouldn't do 1% of the damage that Greedy, Ignorant, Asinine, kNownothing Tyrant Shitheads (GIANTS, get it?) do EVERYDAY day. I have finally, with the benefit of medication, pulled my head out of my ass. Please join me on my journey to greatness.

Re: “Prop 205: Let’s Make a Deal

I support legalization, but am leaning against voting for this, and not because of the scare tactics and lies put out by the opposition.

The MPP has become a lobbyist for the industry, as opposed to a lobbyist for legalization, as it formerly was.

Re: “Ask A Mexican

Well, you fall into the lazy trap of blaming homelessness on laziness. Most homeless are in that position due to mental illness, drug addiction (including alcoholism) or both. Of the rest, many are not lazy, they just can't manage to fit into our crazy 9to5 world.
It's all for yucks I know, but I hate that stupid cliche.

Re: “Remind Me Again, Why Does Arizona Have a Teacher Shortage?

The National Academy of Sciences just released a study showing the annual fiscal burden across local, state, and federal government imposed on taxpayers by immigration is $43 billion - $299 billion.

Wouldn't be a shortage if the seats weren't filled with children of illegals. And there would be TONS of money for our children.

Let's see.... You do a beautiful article on Wendy and her mental illness and this article demeans someone who likely has mental illness. Which way do you want to have it? Can't have it both ways, Weekly.

Re: “Remind Me Again, Why Does Arizona Have a Teacher Shortage?

Flowing Wells has a truly great man, Jim Love. It's funny, the history of Floing Wells and Amphi is that large ranch owners essentially picked their own district boundaries for tax and control purposes. By the way I am a property tax payer in TUSD. The obsession with Sanchez is a treatable condition. I have broken bread with him at a state meeting. I can confirm he does not have horns growing out of his head.

Re: “Remind Me Again, Why Does Arizona Have a Teacher Shortage?

Hey, "Frances Perkins," why does Flowing Wells have a much smaller % of teacher vacancies than TUSD?

Following your logic, it must be because they pay their teachers much more than TUSD.

Oops, no -- that's not it.

Getting a lot of hits from Adelita and Kristel and Cam's Facebook friends, David? I bet whenever anyone raises the issue of all the teacher vacancies in the district (and all the classrooms on the West side filled with subs) the three rubber stampers of all-things-HT-Sanchez link one of your lame blogs to "demonstrate" to their ignorant supporters that none of this is their fault (or $500K-per-year-HT's fault).

Too bad there's no vetting of valid information in this publication. Whoever "oversees" your work (IS there anyone? Mari Herreras: hello? anyone home?) obviously has no conscience whatsoever in the area of ensuring the readership of their sad publication is not misled by bad, tendentious, and self-servingly selective "information."
