Nice try Rat, but abortion is not murder. Stay out of other people's business.
" promulgate emergency rules designed to prohibit the illegal sale of any tissue from an unborn child."
Since there is no evidence of illegal sale, this is a witch hunt (and a bone to his rabid anti-abortion base).
If you don't like abortion - don't get one. Making abortion illegal doesn't stop abortion, it just forces women into unsafe abortions.
I have been busted 5 times by the cameras over the last ten years or so, I deserved every one of them. They do reduce accidents! I hate it when I get caught but it has forced me to be more cautious.... I am a card carrying hard core Republican but on this battle the government has done the right thing...
Reproductive decisions should not include murder. They should be made before conception.
Keep your noses out of other people's reproductive decisions. It's not your business.
"and to my eye the call was marginal but the end result was no different than if a traffic cop had caught me."
You may be correct but since you said to your eye this was marginal maybe an officer judgement would not have caused you be issued a ticket.
Nice try Debbie but women won't read abortion articles. Too much heartache.
Way more interest in red light cameras than children.
If one's objection to the red light cameras is the private sector involvement, might the solution be the operation of the cameras, issuance of citations, etc., be done directly by TPD? If it's that some among us have been caught by a camera and cited by the TPD through the intermediacy of the private sector program operator, what's the big deal? I was really annoyed when it happened to me at Speedway and Kolb last November, and to my eye the call was marginal but the end result was no different than if a traffic cop had caught me. The questions should be:
(1) Are the cameras resulting in fewer accidents at busy intersections?
(2) Are the cameras cost-efficient?
I only regret that I do not reside in the city, so I won't be able to vote on this one, as on all too many issues that affect those of us who live beyond city limits but are still very much Tucsonans.
Thank you John Kromko. Hey people: doesn't government intrude enough already in your lives? Ever read 1984 by Orwell? The red light cameras are all about the privatization of law enforcement. Don't we have that enough with private prisons, private armies, and the attempted privatization of our parks like the El Rio Golf Course? Ooops, sorry, I forget that is a "non-issue" for the Weakly.
The Civil War put an end to slavery by asserting that one could not own another person, yet Roe V Wade allowed killing of another. Think about it ladies.
I've checked McSally's July report to Federal Election Commission and found 1079 donors, of whom nearly 100 are corporate. In all 132 are from CD2, about 21% of the total, and a lot of the132 are repeat contributors. And anybody can go to the FEC web site and obtain this information as well as that for any current federal candidate. Have fun!
He has done a fantastic job of securing the southern border. Funny how I used to think he and McCain were in different political parties.
They are not.
Apparently some of your reptilian commenters have been living under a rock. Ed Pastor was too busy helping southern Arizona to engage in pointless grandstanding. We were very lucking to enjoy his long service to the people of the state.
Apparently some of your reptilian commenters have been living under rock. Ed Pastor was a solid contributor to his district, helping Southern Arizona in many ways.
Regarding the money raised by candidates: Where is the money coming from, is a good question.
A blatant racist as a major party candidate (out-polling all other GOP candidates in recent polls) just shows how far this country has to go.
Jim, where is McSally's money coming from? How much of it is in large amounts from outside the district, outside the state? Is her fund raising an indication of her service to the people of CD2?
How unfortunate that some people who cannot clearly state their own principles, choose to show their lack of intelligence by simply calling other people names
Ed Pastor left Congress? Congress never knew that Ed had joined them.
And the dog whistle theory? You mean the phoney cry of voter supression the left uses every election?
Where is your honesty?
Romper Room Nintzel blatantly lies, or at a minimum slanders, when he writes
"But Trump's rise in the polls is a clear sign that some members of the Republican base still love bashing Latinos..."
Poor, poor little Jimmie. He doesn't understand what illegal means. He's such a cute little bigot, to other liberal bigots.
