Re: “The Skinny

I'll bet if they did a background check on Flake we would find out that he was a cereal.

Re: “The Skinny

Hey at this point the ONLY person we have any hope with on the BOS is Ms.Miller! The rest of them are on the "county payroll" for the long haul and follow blindly what the county administrator wants.

Re: “The Skinny

JCC how civil of you. Have you even seen the supervisor meetings? Mrs. MIller has been asking questions at every meeting, asking about where funds are going if there is a way some here or there, to put thse savings into the roads. I have sent emails and her staff has helped in many more ways than Ann Day ever did. Anyways what was the big deal even just one study session (all other counties in AZ have them for budgets) was it really such a bother to the other Board Members?

Re: “The Skinny

Hardly surprising that Ray Carroll and Ally Miller have some conflicts. I'm a Democrat, but I also believe that Carroll has been a fair and responsible Supervisor. Ally Miller, on the other hand, is a divisive and unpleasant human being - much like many of her Tea Party supporters.

Re: “The Skinny

Time will tell whether the Sandy Hook shootings were a transforming moment for the country—or if some future, horrific mass shooting has a similar effect. Bill says: How dare you and those pushing their gunophobia use the emotions of tragedy to push your snake-oil! What part of the proposed Bill would have done NOTHING to stop a Sandy Hook don't you understand? This type of dishonest reporting has the Medias popularity just below "pond scum." The lies used to garner support for this Bill have been over the top! Thank's for Jeff Flake’s being honest and not a part of the scam Bill mob, the Bill that admittedly by those who supported it did not one thing to prevent a Sandy Hook, not one thing! Let’s focus on the real issue and that is how to keep the mentally ill from killing us with whatever weapon they conjure up to use! Stop with the lies to push your Gunophobic platform. Democrat voting areas have a 650% higher gun murder rate, they also have the strictest gun laws, the answer any sane person can see isn’t more of the same, another law especially one that only focused on 1.9% of the guns used in crime! It is a NEW approach one based on profiling mental health for those who would kill! Jeff Flake called that Bill what it is, a scam politicians were using to placate a ginned up gunophobic mob who wanted anything to be done even if what was done didn’t do anything! Thanks Jeff for daring to bring that fact to light, to bad most of those who are involved are too emotional to see clearly what they are trying to do is foolish!

Re: “The Skinny

There are over 20,000 gun laws on the books across the USA. The Justice Department under Eric Holder has told federal prosecutors to ignore "low level firearms crime." This includes answering questions on form 4473 with a lie, like Mark Kelly did when he purchased an AR-15 recently. These paper violations are felonies and are prosecutable if the feds had any real intent to do their jobs. Remember Columbine? The assault weapons ban was in effect at that time, didn't prevent any killings. New laws are only going to be followed by law abiding citizens, criminals do not care. New laws will have no affect and in this instance, maybe, just maybe, Flake is correct.

Re: “The Skinny

What I am hearing from Flakes "No" vote comment is the another life lost due to another gun related death is not worth additional paper work?

Re: “The Skinny

Why should we have to wait six years to have another vote?

Re: “The Skinny

Flake also needs to acknowledge his total failure as part of the Gang of 8 on immigration reform. Again, he sucked up to the Nativists and ignored the will of the majority.

Some of us had hoped Flake would be a leader, but all we got was another politician.

Re: “The Skinny

Chandler abused her office position in pima county superior court. She was "supremely politically connected" to the point of openly attacking hardworking citizen and fathers so that she can carry out her democratic political agenda of socialism. She had many friends within the ranks of Pima County Superior Court's HR, Case Management and upper judicial leadership. She has a history in placing children in "drug addicted", "child abusing" mother's custody and forcing stable fathers out of their home as to subsidize her gender preferred parties. I would say Chandler is "superbly a lunatic" who should never have been placed in a position that compromised children in this county!

She didnt want the shotguns handed out in "her neighborhood". I thought we were a nation of independant people. Since when does Cindy Fayala own that neighborhood. The 2nd Amendment wasnt set up for duck shooters it was to protect the people from an oppressive government and from crime.

Re: “The Skinny

As usual, you promised one thing and delivered another. Your so-called look into the "background check" was nothing more than a restatement of the press releases. I had hoped for details of exactly what the senators were cobbling together. It has been difficult to find specifics, as either side of the issue is just selling generalities. Maybe the conspiracy theorists are correct in that this is just stage one in confiscation. I do not know. Mr. Nintzel, you once were a very good journalist, please attempt to bring an unbiased and factual report.

Re: “The Skinny

How'd the ADI get the story in the first place? Was it leaked?

(sorry... couldn't resist.)

Re: “The Skinny

What is it with you people in Tucson? City councilmen peeing on walls and someone watching and watching for what seemed like an eternity.( Can't a person pee without being ogled?) Then I see in this same publication a police report about someone peeing on someone else's car. Is there a hidden pee fetish?

Re: “The Skinny

Nintz ... I wrote the following to the Esquire editors after that leaky article:

'Chris Jones’ May comment on ‘outside leak’ was astonishingly parallel to a passage from Icelander Halldor Laxness’ Nobel Prize winning novel, ‘Independent People’.

Bjartur, the farmhand, who has managed to purchase a part of the farm where he had been working, walks with his dog over the land:

“Standing on the highest point of the knoll, like a Viking pioneer who has found his high-seat posts, he looked about him, then made water, first to the north in the direction of the mountain, then to the east, towards the marshy tracts and the lake and the river flowing smoothly from the lake through the marshes; then towards the moors in the south, where the Blue Mountains, still coated with snow, closed the horizon in meditation. And the sun shone from a cloudless sky.
“... “This land is mine now,” he said.”

The 'outside leak' is a much more universal feeling than non-land-owners can possibly appreciate! It’s wonderful of Jones to discover it anew.'

Re: “The Skinny

Steve has yet to come out and give the public a definitive “yes” or “no” on whether he did or didn’t do it.

He just says the story is “bullshit” – which I interpret to mean he is unhappy that this alleged incident even became a public story.

Re: “The Skinny

There are two documented urinations in public by Kozachik. First is when he peed on his Republican supporters when he first endorsed a D against a credible R, and second is when he not only failed to apologize for taking R support under obviously false credentials but then became a D openly in an attempt to have a shot at re-election. Hope the Ds put up a good candidate in his primary - he'll see that Ds vote for a loyal D rather than a turncoat.

So peeing in public is really a habit with him, isn't it.

(By the way, some months ago Esquire ran a brief article on the joys of peeing outdoors. It's a time-honored satisfaction that, practiced discreetly, satisfies greatly, spreads nourishment properly and saves waste treatment facilities. The worst thing about the phoney Kozachik story is to have him use a WALL as the recipient of his largesse. What a waste.)
