Re: “Grijalva: Supreme Court's 'Non-Decision' on Immigration Executive Actions Leaves Vulnerable People Suffering

Open letter to Grijalva, a communist --

You say --
…. “Illegals in US suffering under US Toxic legal system”
…. “We are a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws,
…. “US immigration system splinters families, and betrays
…. our values

WE say --

• If our legal systems is so toxic, why are illegals in a death grip insisting on staying here? What suffering?
• YES, we are a nation of “Legal” immigrants. What is it you do not understand about “illegal”?
• Our immigration system does not splinter families –
ILLEGALS DO!!! –

……...WHO IS DUMPING CHILDREN AT OR BORDERS
…….. AND RUNNING?? ……….

• “Betrays our values”? – Since when do Americans share “communist” values?
• Since when do Americans use their children to become citizens of another country?

Grijalva you can feed that bull-shit to your communist constituents, but your bull-shit only reinforces why you and your illegals are discriminated against.

AN ILLEGAL IS AN ILLEGAL, is an illegal – what is it about that you don’t understand Grijalva? Or don’t “our” laws mean anything to you and your “illegals”?

Re: “In Defense of Marijuana: Parents of Medical Weed Patient in Prison Fear for His Life

Wise-Guy,

You failed the system as a juror. You should have taken the time to learn about your responsibilities as well as your rights as a juror. Jury nullification is the most powerful form of direct democracy we have a citizens and you were too ignorant to even know about it. Yes, Ignorant. Get off your high horse and take the time to educate yourself about some of the most basic aspects of our criminal justice system, especially if you are going to be in the position to ruin someones life because of 'shitty laws, lying cops and a screwed up justice system' (your words)

I think you are the guilty one now!

Re: “Ducey 'Next Step' Watch: Day 36. Revenue-Neutral Noodling

It would be an interesting experiment if someone could attempt to assess Classrooms First Initiatives council members in terms of their credentials / competence in identifying sound educational and public administrative practices, rather than in terms of their "district school" vs. "charter school" and "private voucher" affiliation.

The fact is, all three sectors in Arizona (district, charter, voucher-funded private) need improvements in transparency and in the degree to which the state is able to verify / require that sound educational methods are employed, in exchange for its gift of public funding in support of the education of students enrolled in these institutions.

David knows there are problems in large urban public districts, including the one his friends run (TUSD) with bidding and hiring processes and transparency. He has even written -- very occasionally and not very effectively -- about a few of these problems during the last three years since Sanchez was installed as Superintendent. But every time it comes time to write about state level initiatives underway, David reverts to simplistic black hat (charter /voucher) white hat (public district) breakdowns.

Could you answer this question honestly, David: if the council was composed of a majority of long time, entrenched mid-level administrators and bureaucrats from Sunnyside and TUSD, how would that go, in terms of the ultimate outcomes recommended by such a group for producing improvements to the education available to students in Southern Arizona?

Re: “Grijalva: Supreme Court's 'Non-Decision' on Immigration Executive Actions Leaves Vulnerable People Suffering

MarcBS. Well, the name sure fits. If you get the chance, put down the baby and pick up a history book. 2007, Sen. Chuck Shumer ( D- N.Y.) swore to block anymore of Bush's Supreme Court nominations because he feared the court would lean too far Right. This was 19 months before the next POTUS would be sworn in. 2004 he swore to block Bush's nomination of Charles Pickering to the Fed. Appeals Court. But that's O.K. because Shumer is a liberal Dem.

Re: “Grijalva: Supreme Court's 'Non-Decision' on Immigration Executive Actions Leaves Vulnerable People Suffering

It never ceases to amaze me how ignorance abounds. Why do people come here? We ask them to! We invite them! We give them more money than they can get in their homeland and enough in fact that they can send money home. That applies to even the oft-stated hated druglords; would they be here if there wasn't money to be made?

No, this non-decision only hurts the people we really want to be here. Those who come to work, live, grow and become an integral part of our communities. It only hurts those who contribute to our society and does nothing to stop the abuses. The Republicans got just what they intended by stalling the vote on Obama's nominee. They pandered to the fear and achieved nothing positive for the United States. It is a vote for greed and exploitation over true prosperity and growth.

Re: “What Happened at Tuesday's Classrooms First Initiative Council Meeting?

I am not surprised that Duchey or his office have not responded to this. They have no intention of working with any committees to shift monies around effectively in the name of education. They don't need no stinking committees! Their agenda was set in cold stone when Dougless was elected. This is only about maximizing the revenue that can be acquired by stripping the state of any opportunities for real public education. Make no mistake, this administration has no interest in educating the public.

Re: “Kink Machine Eric Kroll at Etherton Gallery

Interesting photography.

Although I believe a mistake was made on photo 58 of 93 of the slideshow. Kimberly Austin is the subject of the Porno for Pyros song "Kimberly Austin". If there is a Nine Inch Nails song about her, it may be a very obscure or inside reference in a song; it may be a very obscure or deep track which flew under my radar. Personally, my belief is that someone made a mistake.

If I'm incorrect, please correct me. Otherwise, please correct the title of this slide.

Thanks for reading. DC

Immigration reform can not be trusted to elected officials...of either party. The Democrats have given voting rights to convicted felons.

They have violated our trust.

That all said, we can not strengthen somebody else by weakening ourselves. England wants their borders and their destiny back.

Americans just may figure this out.

Remember how the Dems cried about a litmus test for nominees? Four judges voting for Obama to violate the USC passed their litmus test.

Hillary's days are numbered, as a viable candidate unless she changes her stripes.

The middle class want borders returned and economy rebuilt.

Re: “Supreme Court's Split Decision on DAPA, Extended DACA Lawsuit Fails to Protect Millions of Undocumented Parents, Youth

This is what too much immigration has done to California:
‘’33% of the nation’s welfare recipients are Californians – even though California has just 12% of the nation’s population.  California taxes are 42% higher than Texas.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/thomasdelbecca…

Several hospitals, including ones in Stockton (40% Hispanic & Bankrupt), CA and Dallas, TX, report as many as 70% of their deliveries are to nonUS-residents. Similarly, the parents of infant citizens still qualify for welfare in order to protect the child.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michealene-c…

Hispanics drive US population growth! http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation…

52,673 US 2007 Household Income INCLUDING CA
52,250 US 2013 -$423. US Drop in Household income between 2007 and 2013

62,280 California Household 2007 They have their OWN Inflation going on.
60,190 income 2013 - $2,090. California Drop in Household Income between 2007 and 2013

5 TIMES larger drop in household income in California than the rest of the nation INCLUDING CALIFORNIA!
The total cost over this first generation of immigrants is estimated at a staggering $6.3 trillion in terms of total lifetime government benefits over and above the taxes the immigrants will pay in.

Re: “Supreme Court's Split Decision on DAPA, Extended DACA Lawsuit Fails to Protect Millions of Undocumented Parents, Youth

This was a good beginning, after letting the immigration question just sit there for more years the president brought it back into light and I guess now that is all that matters. It's sad that people still don't understand that people have come to this country to make a better like. They don't understand the reasons those families left their, the majority of people live in poverty, or fear for their lives due to the cartels that run their country. People in this country are lucky that they've never had to experience any of that, neither them nor their family members. Immigrants bring in millions of dollors to millions of businesses so people can't really say that they're taking away from this country. It's funny to see all these people that see somethiing bad happen across the world and appear to be sad and post it all over the social media to pray for they world yet when it comes to the people they're surrounded by they want to kick them out of their country. Like I said I understand that breaking the law is illegal but have a little more sympathy towards people. And I'm sorry they are such a burden to your life.

Re: “National Education Policy Center: Class Size and Money Both Matter in Education

JHupp,
You say, "The Early Childhood Longitudinal Study was completed many years ago." I'm not having any luck tracking down any such study. Can you give me some clues for finding the original study you refer too?

Re: “Supreme Court's Split Decision on DAPA, Extended DACA Lawsuit Fails to Protect Millions of Undocumented Parents, Youth

I think the Republicans should hear the nominee. But I'm happy with this decision. In fact I can't see how 4 judges managed to vote the other way. How can you possibly allow the President to set immigration policy with no input from Congress? Unless you're just blindly partisan, it makes no sense.
