Re: “Winners and Losers in the Classrooms First Initiative Council Proposals

This read differently:

Arizona law requires the state department of education, in conjunction with the state
department of administration, to compile and publish an annual list of vacant and un-
used buildings (or portions of buildings) owned by the state or school districts that may
be suitable for the operation of a charter school.

Re: “Winners and Losers in the Classrooms First Initiative Council Proposals

Charter infrastructure is NOT owned by the taxpayers. Every building, utilized, acquired or built by charter operators is owned by the self perpetuated charter school board members. If the charter goes under, the board gets the property, it DOES NOT revert to the State.

Re: “"Raise Taxes on Corporations and the Wealthy." Hillary said It. Arizona Democrats, You Can Say It Too.

This is exactly how the woman known as Hillary Clinton operates:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin said in a legal proceeding that Clinton did not want the State Department emails that she sent and received on her private computer server to be accessible to "anybody," according to transcripts released Wednesday. Her comments provided new insights into the highly unusual decision by the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate to operate a private email server in her basement to conduct government business as secretary of state.

Just "highly unusual?"

Huma's husband is former (disgraced) Congressman Anthony Weiner

Of youtube fame. These guys really do get around.

And you think politicians do? Continue to deny trickle down...but tell us who has the most money in Nicaragua, a country with NO food. It's daniel Ortega's daughter.

How long will you wait for trickle up to work, eight more years?

Re: “Ed Superintendent Douglas Talking in Tucson Tuesday, Wednesday

What in the world is disgusting about sending children to public schools? What an odd choice of words. If you want to send your child to a private school, have at it -- but use your own money, not my tax money.

It's WILMOT not WILMONT. makes me wonder how much time the talking heads from channel 13 will spend in prison for what they did. Might they have the same attorney?

Re: “"Raise Taxes on Corporations and the Wealthy." Hillary said It. Arizona Democrats, You Can Say It Too.

Although I don't believe she'll do it, since the owners of those corporations are the Clintons' best friends, the people who have posted here are ignoring the reality of how little corporations pay compared to us, the regular people. It's one of the reasons we're in such trouble. Here are two mainstream news outlets (USA Today and CBS, and there are dozens more, just look it up) saying clearly that 20% of corporations are paying NOTHING in income taxes and the ones that do pay taxes pay at a much lower rate than we peons do. Trickle-down has never worked (just look up the corporate tax rate under Reagan). Why do you all keep defending billionaires? they don't care about you at all.

Re: “Ed Superintendent Douglas Talking in Tucson Tuesday, Wednesday

That is not what they want to hear John. They just won't admit it. 83% of Arizona children still attend public schools? That is disgusting.

By the way, what they really want is 100% of the money.

That shows you just how ignorant some of our population is. This person refuses to understand that our President is promoting illegal entry.

Re: “Ed Superintendent Douglas Talking in Tucson Tuesday, Wednesday

What's cherry picked about the data? NAEP, the National Assessment of Educational Progress, is the gold standard of education measurement, measuring results nationwide at 4th and 8th grade. Comparing our demographic groups with groups nationwide is the most scientific way of looking at the data. People are shocked at the results because they haven't seen them. Let me repeat them: Arizona's African Americans had the highest math scores in the nation at 8th grade. Our Hispanics ranked 11th and our white students ranked 6th. And, you've never seen this data before because it doesn't fit the narrative.

Re: “Local Media Pros Som and Krystin Lisaius Indicted on Drug-Related Child Abuse Charges

I'm wondering how their daughter is going to react when she discovers at an older age that her own parents did this to her? What a shame! I personally knew Som I lived in Tucson for 7 years and he always came into the bar where I was a bartender. I don't care if he reported crime scenes he was very arrogant! My heart breaks for that baby.

"Do not forget that politicians are flooding the US with immigrants from other countries, just exactly as the EU is doing to Europe.

Why?"

Re: “Winners and Losers in the Classrooms First Initiative Council Proposals

MaryE2 exposes the true fear you should have about public schools. "People share the same educational background."

That was OK when teachers organized lesson plans. But the educrats sold out to bureaucrats and now we have the NEA in bed with the globalist network that shuns morality and massive groupthink, that have trouble reading writing and adding/subtracting.

But they are open minded multi cultural non judgemental robots, that will fall for anything.

Take your kids and run. By the way ask your public school if there is a US flag in the classroom and if they say the pledge of allegiance each day.

Re: “Local Media Pros Som and Krystin Lisaius Indicted on Drug-Related Child Abuse Charges

This poor child is surrounded by idiots. The parents , the friends, and down to the god father. Of course the friends are going to defend them. They are doing the dirty little deeds with them! Mistake , mistake, mistake That's all I keep hearing. What was the mistake. The mother only planned to get the baby a little high, not overdose high? Was that the mistake they keep talking about ? Can you understand how pathetic you sound. Own up to the fact the they need to be held accountable for what they did. They could have lost that precious baby. This is no mistake in my book. They are only crying about it because they got cought this time. They report about this kind of thing all the time. Wasn't that their job in our community ? Now the mother wants to say that she didnt know it was going to hurt her child. Come on Now!!!!

Speaking from experience. If they sold refreshments including beer/wine they would be very profitable.

Eighty three % of AZ students attend public schools, JohnH, so your assessment that school choice works, has actually no bearing on the statistics you posted. And Frances nailed ed policy in AZ.

Re: “Ed Superintendent Douglas Talking in Tucson Tuesday, Wednesday

John cherry picks data, then joins this cherry picking with non-sequiturs. There is absolutely no data that show there is any relationship. We can the thank the voters for their wisdom in this one case.

I feel if there are 250 school district bearaucracies in Arizona, a new sustainable formula would help all tax payers.
