Impressive! This is from nearly four months ago. Glad to know our archives are being read!
Thank you for pointing out the typo. It has been corrected.
okay, no name calling at all but isn't it aftermath/interscope not aftermatch...
Aren't these comment supposed to be about the music review, not the reviewer?
How telling that Ms. Peashock would be less than impressed with anything that doesn't laud the if it feels good, do it frame of mind.
Great Review My Metal Brethren!!! Ive been a huge fan since Putrification Thru Violence and all the lineup changes (Jason and Sparky left and went to Misery Index a few years back)and matching the intensity of 2007,s War Of Attrittion, This is a great album and as a 3-Piece is just amazing...Check out the Video for Shepherds Commandment!! Freakin Rulez!!!
Dying Fetus Rulez!!! Nuff Said!!!
p.s. Ever need a die hard Metalhead to interview for the Nine Questions
hit me up!! I have been screamin metal in this town for over 30 years and live and breathe Metal!!!
Keep it Brutile
Moshin Bob !!
So. Let me get this straight... you want them to keep making Starfish over and over? They've made >>23<< albums!!! This fantastic work made by true craftsmen that needs to be recognized as such.
I would'nt say a tribute to the USMC make these guys "right wing". Regardless, the music on "Infidel" definately rises above any and all true or imagined preconceptions of At War. This is a great thrash album by a band who has made the most of a second coming.
"The alternative-metal scene grows stronger every day, despite the misguided efforts of Brooklyn media hipsters seeking to ensure the domination of pathetic electro bands like Animal Collective. For every horrendous indie-rock act praised in the virtual pages of music blogs, there's a musically accomplished group of post-headbangers knocking on hell's moss-encrusted, heavy oak door."
This is possibly the BEST synopsis of the indie rock scene as it stands today! Major kudos. I'll be quoting and citing!!!!
For a different opinion...check out the review of the exact same album by Country Weekly Magazine...the World's #1 selling Country Music Publication.
very well written review..but just one correction, the Patrick Bateman inspiration was only for the "Love Lockdown" video and its contemporary style.
Just a reminder that name-calling is a no-no on TucsonWeekly.com. Feel free to swear and rip us a new one and tell us how incompetent we are, but don't get personal, folks.
awesome =) ... you might also like a wicked new electro pop female singer i found - Kat Valerie from STAARK ? great voice (kinda sexy, kinda quirky) + great music too > def check it! www.staark.net
I listened to this whole album yesterday in preparation for their upcoming show at Solar Culture and I agree... it is a requisite gem for any forward-thinking, satire-loving music nerd... including me. Thanks, James!
