Re: “The Skinny

You can get them for up to $200 per person and $400 per couple each year.

Re: “The Skinny

Can you get the tax credit for multiple donations?

Re: “The Skinny

Any suggestions by Nintzel will not be something I do! I saw the unquestioned support for some of the politicians and that was enough for me. If he didn't or wasn't willing to do any investigative work on that I certainly won't contribute money to any charity he endorses.

Re: “The Skinny

Thanks for the suggestions and the encouragement. The Pima Democratic and Republican parties should put links to your column on their web sites. Hear this, Carolyn Cox (R) and Jeff Rogers (D). Might not be a bad idea for local faith communities to do likewise. It's a matter of our all being in this together.

The truth never gets in the way of Antenori's rants.

Re: “The Skinny

Gov. Brewer would make a good choice for the Presidential run for 2016. She fits right in with the type of candidate Republicans continue to run and vote for.

Re: “The Skinny

Maybe McCain, should resign from the Senate...And go somewhere, far away, to serve our state and nation. I suggest, maybe, Ambassador to Vietnam. Micky Smythe.

Re: “The Skinny

If you try, as I have, to write either Senators McCain or Kyl, do not expect to ever get a response back from them. They do not care to respond when the content does not agree with their actions. Now I do not know much about Susan Rice, but she sounds like a tough cookie who may not have the style or political poise required by these professional Republican politicans. But no one has control of anyone else in Libya at this time (not even clans or militias I have read), and McCain is beating a dead horse while deadly situations requiring forethought and strategy are forming right now in many Islamic countries - like future hurricanes that start way out in the ocean. Will anyone be ready -- not John McCain. He's too busy beating up a woman who was trying to make a difference.

Re: “The Skinny

Please, deliver me from McCain's faux outrage. I don't remember any blubbering theatrics when we invaded Iraq on false intelligence and the whim of a clueless president. Thousands of Americans and Iraqis died over non-existent weapons of mass destruction. Where was McCain's outrage then? And McCain's judgement? Two words: Sarah Palin.

McCain is shameful.

Re: “The Skinny

"the federal government will step in and do it for Arizona, which will mean that the state has less control over how it works."

Fine by me! I suspect any health-insurance exchange administered by the radicals in state government would be a total cluster-frack.

Re: “The Skinny

I wrote McCain too. I asked him where was his outrage on false intelligence in Iraq, that cost Americans dearly. I hope Carmona runs against McCain when he's up for re-election, because something tells me McCain will keep running 'til we vote him out.

Re: “The Skinny

Native daughter your right I forgot about rape and incest. But I never forgot about condoms and I would hope that if your a women you might use your on form of birth control. Also (playing right winger) no sex, no pregnancy. My point was you can have an abortion but its a choice. Don't expect for those that don't agree with it to want to pay for it.

Re: “The Skinny

Smithappens....yes, it does. and big smit is rape and incest. Not "life threatening" but in need of a subsidized abortion option. Also, an abortion is usually not surgery. I find it pretty naive to believe that a pregnancy can always be prevented. The best way to assure that would be for males to become electively sterile. Any volunteers?

Re: “The Skinny

John McCain acting like a buffoon is so old hat. The media should only concentrate on him if he actually does something intelligent. Now that would make an attention-grabbing headline.

Re: “The Skinny

Susan Rice needs to get back in the fine Senator's "good graces"??? As much as I dislike playing the gender card here, McCain is really an obtuse, patronizing dick.

Re: “The Skinny

I'm not so sure that my health ins. covers an abortion. Even if it does I would still have to pay a deductable. I am all for a womens right to choice, but if it's not life threatening then it is an elective sugery, since it could have been prevented (i think). I would like Obama care to pay for my sex change operation, but I don't expect them too.

Re: “The Skinny

I wrote a (rare) email to Sen McCain suggesting that he needs work on the "fiscal cliff" to avoid more "gridlock" and get something done for a change. I wrote that the Islamic world will continue to have seriously murderous incidents in the future, many beyond our influence in chaotic, trecherous places like Libya, and that he should quit pursuing a political opportunity that, although originally significant, is past and over and not highly flammable anymore. Still waiting............

Re: “The Skinny

Sorry, but who is the "state" mentioned? Is it the Republican control, Charter School/Private Prison people running the state government in Phoenix? If the Republican party believed in publlic education with elected local school boards they would fund them. It is not like the money isn't available, it is just where it is spent.
The public education advocates need to stop thinking regressive sales tax and switch to a progressive income tax that doesn't punish low income and fixed income seniors.
Then get the AEA members to back their own interests.

Re: “The Skinny

A very DISAPPOINTING and DEPRESSING outcome in the Bronson race! We would have been so much better off with Tanner! Bronson - the "dirty money" was just people that were funding Tanner for HOPE! With you - we have none.........

But then again the media must be happy - they are still on the payroll!
